Firstly, a big thank you to all who travelled on the bus to Portrush last night.

This parade was a first for the band and it didn't disappoint. A great buzz around the town with spectators turning out in large numbers and lining every street on the parade route. Congratulations to Portrush Sons of Ulster on a well run parade.

Thanks to Loyal Band Parades NI Pictures/Videos for the video.

18/07/2024

There's been a fantastic response to this, only a handful of seats remain before the bus is filled.

Don't be left behind. Get in touch!

16/07/2024

Leaving it late but we're still looking for a lodge for ABOD Relief of Derry parade.

15/07/2024

Whitewell Tartan will be running a bus to the annual Sons of Ulster, Portrush parade on Saturday 20th July.

There is some space on the bus for guests to travel.

Bus will be leaving Whitecity Community Centre at 18:30 and returning Approx 23:00

If you would like to reserve a seat on the bus give us a message.

This is always a great spectacle with 1000s of people ascending to the small seaside town for one of the best parades in the parading calender.

13/07/2024

Now that we've all recovered from the 12th day celebrations we would like to say a massive thank you to Queen Victoria Memorial Temperance LOL 700 for a great day. Fantastic hospitality once again from start to finish. We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did.

Band practice is on tomorrow night before our first outdoor parade of the year on Saturday.

It's been great to see some new (and older) faces through the door this year, new members always welcome for the season ahead.

🚨 WE ARE RECRUITING 🚨

With the marching season just around the corner we are now recruiting new (and old) members for all areas of the band.

We aren't a band that goes out on parade every weekend so if you enjoy being in the band scene but can't commit to going out every weekend, why not come down to our practice and give it a crack as a member of the Whitewell Tartan?

We practice on a Wednesday evening from 7pm until 9pm at Whitecity Community Centre.

Message the page or any band member for further info.

We had our first outing of the season last night as we made the short journey to support our friends at Monkstown YCV on their 50th Anniversary Sash Bash.

Congrats to the Monkstown YCV on a well run event, we hope you got a great lift on the night and we wish you all the best for the upcoming season.

We also need to say a massive thank you to Goldsprings for a lend of their bassdrum after our skins went. 👏 Much appreciated.

Roll on next week as we head to Doagh for Ballyclare Memorial FB's indoor event.
