The people have spoken! Our next movie night is happening this Friday with cult classic ‘But I’m a Cheerleader’… Clea DuVall, Natasha Lyonne, RuPaul as a straight man called Mike… what’s not to love?!
It’s free to attend, although we do have a suggested donation of £5 with profits going to trans healthcare projects. You even get a wee tub of popcorn to enjoy with the movie 😁 Out last event was completely sold out and had a lengthy waiting list, so book early to avoid disappointment!! 📣📣💜

We had so much fun at our first gaming night, we figured we’d do it again! This time round we’re inviting you all along to a good old fashioned board game night! We’ve a whole host of games for you to choose from, or bring your own!! We even have a very special table top game that will likely be new to almost all of you - so definitely worth popping your head in!

We are super excited to be up at this weekend in the van! Come and find us for a pre-pride caffeine hit or a post rally pick me up 😋

Don't worry, the coffee shop will still be open 10-5 with breakfast running all day and all of our regular fresh bakes for you to enjoy!!

As the dust settles on Belfast Pride, why not let us ease you gently back into humanity with our first social crafting night 😁🥰! This Thursday - Aug 1st, join us (and other like-minded folks 🤓) for some chilled crafting time in the cafe, with low-key tunes and as much or as little socialising as you have the spoons for! There’s tasty eats available in the form of smash burgers/foot long hotdogs and all the usual in-house bakes, alongside your favourite coffee/hot choc/iced treats! We’ll be providing some crafting materials on the night or you’re welcome to simply bring your own or work on an existing project in lovely company (as long as it doesn’t involve hammering rivets… we have several noise-sensitive neurospicy folks 😊). Hope to see lots of lovely faces there 💜

Monday; Welcome to the Gaybourhood with
From 3-5 drop down, get yourself a wee treat, hear from the folks from The Rainbow Project about the work they do and chat with some of the team at HOC about what we have coming up in the coffee shop. 🏳️‍🌈

Wednesday; Our very own is hosting the Tiny Gay Quiz at It's BYO and you can get tickets through the bio

Friday; We are having our first Q***r film night, with a special screening of The Birdcage. We only have a few seats left for this, so if you want to come, slide into our DMs and secure your seat 💜

Saturday; The Coffee shop is closed so the Team can enjoy their pride day, but you can still get your caffeine fix, we will be out in our little trailer at the Belfast Stories Site with from 11-7 📽🌈

We’ve been teasing event plans for a couple of weeks and the wait is finally over! We’re officially kicking off our pop up social gaming night next Tuesday with a wholesome round of ‘Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes’! Whether you’re already a fan or you’ve never played and want to give it a go, why not come down and join us where a group of like-minded nerds will be getting their jollies pressing buttons together 😁
The venue is wheelchair accessible and has a gender neutral bathroom and all our staff are JAM trained and very lovely! 🥰

We are delighted to be hosting the inaugural Q***r Noir this weekend.

Community is at the core of everything we do and being able to give space for all members of the q***r community a place to meet and be themselves somewhere that isn't age restricted or alcohol centric is why we opened a brick & mortar place and we can't to share more upcoming events with you all!

Sun’s out, buns out!! Not feeling like battling through hoards of pasty people for a gravelly spot on the beach today…? Why not pop on down to our pop up BBQ! We’ll be dishing up some gorgeous burger and hotdog goodness from 1:30pm, with sexy hand made iced lemonade added to the menu for the day that’s in it! Not good enough…? We’re also serving some Madagascan vanilla affogato…!! Come for the notions, stay for the craic 😁💜 Keep an eye on our stories for menu options after 12! 🥳

Folks have been asking if we do any merch - you’ll be delighted to know that yes, you can get your own slice of HOC joy in the form of hats, beanies and t shirts (or sexy little hip aprons if you’re into that sort of thing 😂). Our website is having an overhaul and you’ll be able to pick bits up there soon or pop in to the shop and grab something in person… save yourself a few quid on shipping 😁
