Honestly, no. The needle is tiny and the procedure is over in minutes. For anyone really anxious about pain, numbing cream is available but it genuinely isn’t necessary.

How long does it last?⏳
Botulinum Toxin prevents muscle movement for 3-4 months. This muscle movement is what causes lines and wrinkles, therefore removing the movement prevents these continuing to form, creating a more youthful look. The procedure is usually required every 3-4 months.

Is there any downtime?⏱️
Downtime is minimal. Full aftercare advice is given at each consultation and again at each appointment, but there is minimal downtime, and once the appointment is over you can go about day to day activities without it being noticeable that you’ve had the procedure.

This allows any topical treatments or products used afterwards to really sink in and get to work. BUT, they should only be carried out by professionals who have been specifically trained in this treatment. Any at home Dermaplaning devices are not the same as medically graded scalpels and put your skin at risk! 👩🏻‍⚕️💉💕

There is 2 weeks between the top picture and the one on the bottom. 2 weeks is when Botox has taken full effect by, and then if a top up is necessary this is when it is administered.

As you can see, there is no movement now in the bottom picture, and with reduced movement for the next few months, the appearance of static lines on the forehead should almost completely disappear by the time the Botox has worn off 💉👩🏻‍⚕️💕
