Just back from dropping this oak and turquoise resin dining table off to a lovely couple.

We had originally sourced some beautiful elm for this job but when flattening the slabs it exposed some pretty bad woodworm holes right in the middle of the slabs.

With a big birthday for the family approaching and not having suitable timber in stock we have created a temporary table top so the guests won’t have to eat from their laps.

This top will therefore be for sale down the line DM if you might like it as a dining or coffee table and keep an eye out for the final piece once we get our timber woes sorted out.

Last of the batch of tables delivered to Jacqueline Rooney Art in Rostrevor. Same dimensions and style as the green ones a few posts back.

This time with sky blue resin and bases powder coated in an off white.

It’s another console table this time made with burr oak, sapphire blue resin and a custom steel base powder coated in bronze.

Definitely the brightest colour used to date, bright apple green resin and spalted burr elm. Twisted cube bases powder coated in bronze.

This timber was felled in the grounds of Belfast castle in 2001 and cut into slabs in 2003, it then air dried for a crazy 18 years before going into the kiln. Was it worth the wait ?

Burr pippy oak used with a bright blue resin and finished with 2 coats of protective oils.

Unique bathroom shelf dropped off to a lovely customer in Dungannon today.

Figured ash and blue resin river with a heart shape carved out and filled with green resin to match a stained window in the house. Used the leftover piece to create an extra heart to hang up.

Following my post a few days ago this is the second table delivered to Jacqueline Rooney Art for sale in her new gallery in Rostrevor.

This time it’s a hallway/console table made with pippy oak timber, blue resin and a custom steel cube style base powder coated in medium grey.

So excited to announce that Jacqueline Rooney has selected us to create some pieces for her brand new art gallery opening on the 1st July in Rostrevor.

Jacqueline has went from strength to strength with her artwork being featured in vogue, ulster tatler along with numerous other publications and radio and television appearances. She recently collaborated with Jay Blades from The repair lounge to create some pretty special fabrics featuring her artwork (scroll to see it used in one of her amazing chairs 🤯)

This is the first of 2 tables created for the gallery. Little side table with beautiful burr elm with a gold resin river and gold hairpin legs.

Pretty special elm dining table delivered to a customer in Dromore during the week. To get the sparkle effect we poured a base layer of black resin then 2 pours of gold and silver leaf and a clear top layer to finish.

The base has been cut from 6mm steel plate and powder coated with a textured black finish.

Every aspect chosen by the customer to fit into her beautiful home. DM to get a bespoke piece for your own home.

Resin and elm chess board dropped off to a lovely customer in Dublin yesterday.

Elm squares individually laid out with metallic black resin and a burr elm surround. Customers initials carved out and filled with resin for that added personalisation.

Not my usual bag but a lady contacted me to try and sort out a table that was looking a bit worse for wear.

Sanded right back and all cracks and splits exposed, widened and filled with silver grey resin. A coat of Rubio teak and chocolate mixed together to get the final colour.

130cm round dining table made up using cedar of Lebanon, metallic grey resin and I don’t even know what to say about that base made by artizan fabrications amazing doesn’t cover it. You deserve a medal for this one mate.

Round river dining table completed and sent off to double Michelin star restaurant Awong in London.

Absolutely the best elm I’ve used in any project teamed up with antique gold resin. The gold was toned down a bit to blend with the timber and fit in with surrounding colours in the restaurant and what better way to commemorate a second star than laying 2 rosettes in the resin.

The custom steel base is a replica of the bases from the 2 oak with green resin tables made a while back. Cheers to artizan fabrications for taking care of it.

It’s quite humbling being asked to make a piece for such an important occasion so a big thank you and massive congratulations to Andrew and his team.

Just received a pretty special commission with gold resin required so started flicking through the old photos to search for gold pieces and came across this.

Off-cut of burr oak used with a bottom layer of gold resin and clear top layer.

Set of 4 Harry Potter Hogwarts house crests. Carved from core hardwood boards using the CNC and then filled with corresponding resin colours.

Turned out pretty well, maybe introduce multiple colours of resin in each piece next time.
