All participants will be rewarded with a £10 Victoria Square voucher for their time. Your feedback will be carried out via a Zoom call so you can do this from the comfort of your own home. It will take no longer than 30 minutes.

Role - Market Researcher

Pay - £12 Euro / Per Hour

Location - Swords

Duties -
• Approaching the public exiting certain shopping centres and asking them about their opinions/shopping experience that day.
• To reach daily targets. (Usually 5/6 surveys per hour)
• To be resilient in the face of rejection.
• To record responses from shoppers accurately on an iPad/tablet.
• To upload responses achieved every lunchtime and immediately after the shift finishes.

Shift Length - Typically 6 Hours

Approx Shift Times - 10:30 am - 5.30 pm/7.30 pm on Thursday evenings for late-night shopping.

Dates Required - From Monday 25th November to Sunday 8th December.
If any of these dates within this time period do not suit please let me know and I will try to accommodate. We do not expect anyone to work the entire 2 weeks straight. However, we do like to know people's availability beforehand so we can accurately develop a timetable for the duration of the project.

Training - Training will be paid for on the basis that all shifts agreed are worked and there are no cases of gross misconduct which results in removal from the project.

Other Information -
• Although experience is preferred, it is not essential for this role. We are searching for people who are confident in approaching the public to complete surveys, resilient (rejection is part of the job), and well presented.
• Good communication skills and being able to gather a quick rapport with the general public is essential to be successful in the role.
• Fluent in English - We will be asking a series of questions that can be complex and leave no room for interpretation. Accurate data recording is paramount to the Market Research industry.
• Potential to be involved in projects on a casual basis. Given the nature of the job, we are never in the same location 24/7. However, we do have recurring projects that we would love to have successful candidates involved with in the future.

🇲🇹Day 18/18… Completed… Well 3 days ago, but we deserved a few days rest after that project. As much as we loved doing the project in Malta, it's a great feeling to get back home again to family, friends and home comforts.

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped out on the project. We could not have done it without you!🙌

On the downside, no more ice cream in the sun for a while.🍦😩

Day 10/18 - We are in Valletta again to get feedback from Tourists and Residents. There has been a great atmosphere building around this evenings entertainment at Festivals Malta. Cant wait!🎶🍻🇲🇹

Day 9/18 – Well the Thunderstorm didn’t seem to make it this far yesterday but we did have some strong winds throughout the day. 💨

Today we move further from the tourist hot spots into the more residential areas getting feedback from the full-time residents of the island. ☀️

Day 7/18 - First day of surveying done in Valletta today. It’s always nice to get a Ferry to work and back. Congratulations to all the interviewers on surviving the first day, AMAZING JOB!!. Although it is great getting to work in this weather it really does take it out of you. Now home for a well-deserved meal. Expected thunderstorms for tomorrow!!

We flew into Malta last Thursday and after a 6 day recce of the Island, surveying gets underway tomorrow! Day 6/18 complete...
P.s We could get used to this weather in October!

About the Role
In this role, you will never be stuck in an office and will have the opportunity to meet and interview a lot of fascinating people and you will never have to sell anything. But you will need to be comfortable both inside and outside in all weather conditions.

The work involves carrying out face to face surveys with the public on subjects such as their satisfaction with their visit to a certain place, how much they spend and other retail related topics.

The role requires someone that is approachable, polite and confident with great attention to detail and an interest in talking to people.

You will be working mostly on your own, so being self-motivated and having good organisational skills are essential.

You will carry out surveys on an iPad on behalf of the company, working to clearly defined targets and deadlines.

No previous experience is needed to be considered for this role as training will be provided. But you do need to be confident, outgoing and not fazed by the idea of asking the public to complete a survey, introducing yourself and quickly building rapport with the person who answers.

Basic Requirements:
" Have a polite, professional manner and presentable appearance.
" Enjoy and feel comfortable approaching and engaging with all types of people.
" Have good communication skills.
" Resilient/able to take rejection
" Be able to work unsupervised.
" Willing to work in all weathers
