So the pups are currently having a wee break on holiday at the seaside for a few days.

Welcome to the family big man. We first saw this lovely boy in January when we adopted Peggy and just couldn't get him out of our minds, so when we came back from our travels we just had to go get him to complete the set of hound dogs in our house :)

I'm back baby!

So we are back from galavanting all round Europe in our wee motorhome! 8 countries, 7 weeks and so many ups and downs there's not enough hours in the day to tell you all about them but we all had a great adventure!

So, I've been away a long time and the reason being I've been planning my midlife crisis lol
Me and my hubby have bought a campervan and are heading round Europe! Peggy the puppy is coming too! So all making is on hold for a while. If you want to see what we are up to follow me on FB it's called Bailey's Blog xx

This wee nutter Peggy has brought us lots of tears since she first arrived but mostly laughter, so much laughter!

She will never be able to fill the shoes the big man Bailey filled as he was in our lives at such a special time when we were also raising our family, God he saw Jonni from a skinny 5 year old boy at nursery school to a 6ft 1 gym buff man at Uni and wee Lauren from a pree teen through high school, uni, jobs, relationships and to successful 27 year old woman.
That's how quick time flies, and it's never enough with them, kids or dogs.

This wee eejit makes us smile every day, swear and shout and kisses us like we are the best thing on this Earth to her and we think she is gonna bring us lots of joy, I'm so glad Almost Home Animal Rescue NI allowed us to being her home x

Peggy (aka Bailey when she was there) was from Almost Home Animal Rescue NI. We have had her 10 weeks now and by God its been a roller coaster!
She has had her wee spotted hanky packed on at least 3 occasions and yes this beautiful tiny lovable beast has had us crying with 'what have we done' on more than one occasion even though we have had dogs throughout our whole lives!
A rescue dog is not easy, they will break your heart and take you to your limits and beyond.
BUT
After help from them and their specialists I write this now with a full heart of love that we kept going, kept trying, just got a new rug and coffee table, needed a new one anyway lol and have spent the last few weeks like proud parents watching her grow, find joy, geyt excited at her first ever beach trip, her first dog pupachino, her first home where she's truly relaxed

It takes more that 3 weeks 3 months and all those stupid poems, it takes what it takes, but most of all it takes patience and good old fashioned love

So this happened this week. We didn't mean it to happen, it just did. The house was so quiet and clean and hairless and empty without the big man, we saw that had hounds, and this wee woman just happened to be called.......Bailey.......

The year I lost my best pal made of fur, my family lost a great man Stirling, my lovely father in law and my many chronic illnesses made it so hard to work I only managed 8 weeks starting in Sept at the day job which if you didn't know I'm a community artist who work with older people. I was lucky enough to make lots of beautiful little pups for lots of you, and that is a happy thing to do!
Getting covid last year really wrecked me.
So as I sit here in front of the fire having covid again for the 3rd time I must admit I'm a bit feert for the start of 2024 but all we can do is wish each other love health and happiness as with the world out there the way it is that's all we really need for each other isn't it x

So all pups are posted, and old redhead is done. All that's left is to wait for big red Himself to appear on Christmas Eve. A hard year this year for us at Redhead towers with losing close family and our best boy Bailey, but we will still spend precious time together, drink feast, and reminse of good times gone by
However you spend the holiday have a Merry time and I'll see you all in 2024 x

So here it is, the 1st chance to order a handmade pup for Xmas for the tree. They come with either a wee Xmas hat on or angel wings if they are a rainbow pup you want to remember x They also come with or without a string to hang on the tree or not.
They are all handmade from photos all breed all colours, have slightly less detail than the big ones and are £15 +pp

I have 30 (26) places available and they all sold out before Nov last year so if you're interested left me know ASAP

The C word ....

I know its really early, but last year, I was so super busy when I opened my books at the end of October I thought I might open them slightly earlier this year.

I am slowly getting back into working again, and these two guys were too cute not to post, look at that face! Who couldn't love a tiny version of that cute face x

When you sit out on your front step all afternoon cause it's your old dogs favourite pastime and you'd do anything for him x

The old man decided to tip out his toy bag today and go through his old stinking bone collection. We had to help hold each one as he doesn't have many teeth left so he could get a good sook at them. Happy to my friend, more than happy too x

Old Bailey isn't feeling well today, so cuddling and holding hands like he did when he was a puppy is what he wants, so that's what we'll do. Hubby was up all night with him, so now it's my turn. Big old smelly, we love you too much # # #

I've had a big rest after my surgery, I am slowly getting back to business, so drop me a line if you want your wee pup made into a tiny version of itself cause it's just too darn cute, not too x

I'm still resting, my scars are healing and much to my husbands annoyance I'm slowly starting to felt again to g through a few orders, although I can't say it's easy and it's a long process but I'm getting there
