This is why I’ve been off radar here…decided to create a whole NEW WEBSITE 🎉😍
As much as I loved my old design, I felt it no longer resonated with who was and the direction I’m going. BUT Omg, there was a lot more to it than I originally thought 😵💫 I can do creative but not tech, so feel ridiculously proud of myself for getting it all to work!!!
I’m feeling more allowance for the eclectic/creative side of myself to surface in what I offer- it’s a slightly abstract space.
I loved the whole creative process from finding a way of having randomness but it not looking chaotic to choosing abstract nature photos from my library. There’s still work to do, not all the pages are set up yet and have to get the online payment sorted but it’s 80% there
Would love your feedback if you have a moment. Link 🔗 is in bio
1 place left for my soundbath tomorrow morning 11am-12:30pm.
Nestle into the forest and immerse yourself in vibrational sounds…what a wonderful start to your weekend!
Snowdrops are a reminder of resilience…so beautiful, graceful and delicate - yet withstand the harshness and changeable conditions of the two bleakest months!! Love nature’s lessons 🤍💚
Seems to me we have collectively gone into an overwhelm “freeze” response due to with escalating world issues, rising costs, climate change. I seem to oscillate between being fired up with enthusiasm and energy followed by not wanting to to do anything but escape back into hibernation up the mountain.
Do you think so?
Last day of early bird discount…CPD workshop in London ⭐️
Have you heard of Ayalá she is an amazing human who has a passion for teaching yoga and mindfulness to children. We have teamed up to bring you this unique one day training in helping you to help children that are suffering.
There is such a need, our children are suffering from living in the modern world…from the fallout of covid…from not being allowed to explore and BE.
I started off my yoga teaching almost 20yrs ago teaching children…I have seen such a change in children in that time. Now I offer my services working one on one or in small groups in schools, helping children with their reactions to trauma.
Do you have any plans Sunday afternoon? I’ve got two open spots for my Restore Workshop. Join me for two hours of in my tranquil forest studio, followed by herbal tea and delicious dairy-free cake. 🍰

This is Natalie one of my besties. We have a lot of fun together 🥰
it’s so important in life to have people in your life you connect with…and that make you laugh / love / feel amazing / inspired by / not judged by / accepted by…and many other qualities. She is one of my small tribe that includes other gorgeous souls, some I see every day, some once a week and some once a year. But I know they are there for me as I am there for them.
Natalie and I love co-hosting day retreats, we both have different ways of holding space for unfolding and magic to happen, our speciality is to send women home feeling full of love (of themselves), nurtured, nourished, seen, understood and the possibility of seeing life through a slightly different lens.

AUTOBIOGRAPHY IN FIVE CHAPTERS by Portia Nelson
I
I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I fall in.
I am lost ... I am hopeless.
It isn’t my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.
II
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I pretend I don’t see it.
I fall in again.
I can’t believe I’m in the same place. But it isn’t my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.
III
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I see it is there.
I still fall in ... it’s a habit.
My eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault.
I get out immediately.
IV
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I walk around it.
V
I walk down another street.
CAUGHT YOUR EYE because you're a people pleaser?
A day workshop exploring through:
🌺discussion in circle
🌺embodied practices (what does NO feel like in your body?)
🌺 stepping into liminal space with nidra
🌺 nourished by delicious vegan food (
🌺 toolkit to start your recovery
Do you find yourself putting YOU to the back of the queue and everyone else in your life in front of you?
Do you find it hard to say no because you don't want to cause a fuss, hurt someone or create a situation?
The are just a few examples of the tendencies of a people pleaser, it is connected to the "fawn" response of our nervous system. If you have had trauma in your background, this may have been one of the strategies you developed to keep you safe.

What a wonderful experience of balance, integration and coherence. Soraya, you gave stillness and intuitive connection. The experience of slipping into the stillness of my soul, where words became a hindrance rather than a help. You helped me tune into this stillness and reconnect with the unlimited possibilities of my being. I feel a sense of wholeness as I leave and a deep connection with Mother Earth. Highly recommend to those who are trapped in the rat race of life.
Beautiful setting and wonderful people. I was initially challenged by the retreat, which in retrospect, was a good thing. I hadn't fully understood the extent of the "retreat" nature of the week. Once I adapted to the idea of a very spiritual/reflective retreat, I found it both immensely rewarding, enjoyable and beneficial to me on an unexpectedly deep level. There aren't many yoga teachers who possess the ability and skills to teach on both a physical and spiritual/personal level and make you feel safe enough to embark on this, Soraya is all of these. The activities, lodge and food were really well organised and of high quality and it began to feel like home very quickly.

Soraya's retreat is so much more than a yoga retreat. It's a week that nurtured my body, stilled my mind and that made my soul sing. The week wasn't always just bliss and happiness, sometimes it's hard work, physically, but also emotionally. Soraya took us on a journey, we've all gone through a process or connected deeper with ourselves, nature and each other
I have enjoyed myself immensely, you have the most amazing space up here in the mountains that makes people really connect with themselves...to realise fully where they are in their life/journey no matter how hard that can be… I am in awe of the way you live up here
I have had an amazing time, I am not sure what I expected but I feel it has really opened up my mind and made me look at my life in a different way. A very emotional experience! An added bonus was making such wonderful new friends...Thank You
I have been stretched out of my comfort zone, taken to my edge and made some massive breakthrough's physically, emotionally and spiritually. The standard of yoga teaching was very high and I feel blessed and appreciate I could be part of a very special group,
What a week! I really didn't expect to get so much of what I have from this retreat. It's been such a journey and feels longer than a week. Time in many ways feels like it has stopped or not been important. The home and space that you both have created are inspirational, your retreat really does touch people in a life changing way.

Happy Solstice 🌞and Yoga Day 🧘🏽♂️ both are essentials!!
Beaming some sunbeams to you, lovely people 😘
Yoga isn’t doing, it’s being…I was being with my paints on a damp, cold afternoon.
Yoga can be asana, it can also be 🤔being present with your breath
🤔watching the ebb and flow of your thoughts
🤔 nidra
🤔 being present with nature
🤔 being completely present with another
🤔 in fact anything where you are in the present moment and absorbed.
When I can get myself out of my way, painting completely absorbs me, in the way that asana, chanting and dancing does. Time loses meaning as I travel into the world on spontaneity and creativity.
I love taking photo’s of nature and keeping them in a folder titled painting inspiration. This was the beautiful river Dart on last year’s sailing trip.
What absorbs you to the point That time loses meaning and you’re suspended…somewhere!

Our Story
Someone recently asked me why I practice yoga? After some reflection what came to me was three words: Connect - Inspire - Reveal
CONNECT: From my very first yoga class I found a place of such peace and stillness that lasted for days after, even amidst the craziness of London. I felt I'd been away on holiday, little did I know back then that I'd been on holiday to myself. When my mother died suddenly when I was 23yrs, yoga was a way of re connecting with her as she practiced when I was growing up. When I was pregnant, yoga gave me a growing connection to my baby and to my changing body - a sense I was nurturing both of us. Years later when life became hard, I used yoga as a refuge, my mat became a small rectangle of peace where I moved and breathed. Now I am beginning to understand the real truth and meaning behind yoga, it is giving me a growing connection to myself.
INSPIRE: The practice of yoga inspires me to be more loving, compassionate, truthful, mindful and in balance every day. I don't always manage it in every situation but yoga allows me to fail, pick myself up and try again.
REVEAL: Yoga offers me the support, structure and foundation to reveal myself and show vulnerability without my armouring and masks. To become authentically me and know why and when I am not.
and this is why I teach yoga, I hope to inspire you to go on your own journey of self discovery and experience the relief and joy when you can just be you. To connect with others, to inspire and be inspired and to reveal, so that others can reveal themselves too.
