I’ve taken myself out of the apartment for a decaf coffee ON MY OWN. And apart from this post, all I’m doing is allowing my mind to drift.

Giving myself space to just sit and be, not to achieve anything, just to give my brain space to wander. This is what helps me to reset.

I’ve thought I was an extrovert my whole life…but only in the last couple of years have I realised that I’m actually an extroverted introvert! That’s to say, I’m energised by time alone but also by a few close friends. And I can totally pull out my inner dancing queen if I’m in the right mood!

Anyhoo. It stands to reason that if you keep doing the same old thing, you’ll get the same old result.

It looks like I’m crying (I’m not) here after my first HIIT of 2022!! 🤣

But it felt A-MA-ZING (not in the middle of it obvs, just after!) to really get the old “ticky ticker” 🫀going and a good old sweat on!!

I really took time out to chill over the holidays which included a break from social media and I feel all the better for it.

I wonder how many of you notice how your time on social media can affect not only your mood and well-being, but your relationships with those closest to you?

Don’t get me wrong, social media can be brilliant, but if you find it getting a bit overwhelming it might be time for a detox/reality check.

Why not get up off your gorgeous butt and do some yoga/go for a walk/star jumps?!

You’ll feel so good for it.

I use yogic principles, philosophy and asana as part of the way I coach women to live intentionally and in alignment so they can fulfil their amazing potential!

🥰MARVELLING AT MIRACLES 🥰

💫Thank you universe ✨for safely delivering our beautiful boy back after 4 months of him having gone missing. 🙏

💜I trusted the whole time that we would be reunited once we had settled into our new home and knew in my heart that he was alive and was just waiting and still calling out for him! 💜

The day before the vet called us I said the words “I want a cat” 🤩 BOOM 💥 “here you go”

I have SO MUCH to be grateful for and this is one of the things that has really shown how important it is to trust your intuition and follow your heart.

“No one else is coming” 😳

Eeeeeek!!!! 😱 I know!! It sounds so scary!!

I said this in a coaching session last night, and it sounds harsh but actually I find it massively empowering! It means you can TAKE CONTROL! 👊

Don’t get me wrong, there are so many people out there (myself included!) who are ready, able and willing to help you help yourself, but there it is, I said it, if you want things to change, YOU have to make the changes yourself. 😊

You are the only person who can step up here. I know, because the realisation also hit me. I was wallowing in the diagnosis of my depression, and giving my power away, just plodding along, being weighed down.

And then (approximately 20 years after initial diagnosis) something inside me just said “ENOUGH!!!”

“Sure, I could carry on like this, and I know what the future will be - more of the same. The same feeling of not being good enough, the same feeling that I wasn’t capable of achieving my dreams, the same stifling worry over things that I had said, the same feeling of holding myself back and not fulfilling my potential. “

Well guess what?! I DID IT!! 🙌 I did the work. I changed my perspective, my mindset and my existence. And I am now actually achieving my dreams, I’m wandering around not giving (as many!) f**ks, 🌟wearing what I want 👩‍🎤 standing in my own truth and realising my soul purpose. And then running towards it! 💃🦄

And that’s not to say that I don’t have dark days - of course I do. I’m human. But I take them. I allow myself those times. It’s all part of the process. We’re playing the long game.

Hellloooooooo!!!!

How are you all today? It’s a bit off my usual subject but I’m a sharer so going with it anyway!

I discovered the other day that I might have what is known as “leaky gut” which sounds SO GROSS but actually isn’t as gross as it sounds.

Basically antibiotics and a high sugar diet (hello chocolate buttons and wine) can create this problem and one of the answers is to eat fermented food 🙄

Now, gut health is massively connected to mental health and since I’m all over that SHIZZLE I thought I’d better give it a go. Cue a lot of sauerkraut, kimchi and kefir tasting!! This ruby beetroot is my current fave in the veg dept. and I can easily down half a jar in one go! WIN!!!

Not sure what to eat it WITH though so I just eat it on its own.

Anyone know of any good sides to go with it? Or any tips on food to eat/avoid for leaky gut?

🐰 R E A L I T Y 🐰( B I T E S ) 🙄

This is how I felt yesterday (and a bit today!) A bit ‘meh’ due to lots of things:

2 kids being poorly 😱
Lack of sleep 😵‍💫
Zero self care 🤪
And lots of admin plus a foggy head🤦‍♀️

And I really don’t like feeling ‘meh’ ! But! (and maybe this isn’t what you want to hear) …. it’s OK to feel this way Sometimes!

For me, it creates a certain kind of anxiety that I’m about to fall into a pit of the “mean reds”, which is of course, so unhelpful at a time like that. I really have to steel myself to push back on that social conditioning, those learned behaviours that we all have, that we are “supposed” to feel/be/act a certain way, and that if we don’t, we are somehow “less than” or different or broken in some way.

Well I’m here to tell you that whilst it’s not our optimum frame of mind to be in, it is TOTALLY OK. It’s NORMAL, it’s real, it’s HUMAN.

And so, once I’ve allowed myself a little mope, I start to dig into my toolbox of pattern breaking and mindset superpowers to start to shift some of that energy.

The two greatest, that I rely on most? GRATITUDE & COMPASSION.

I just wanted to share with you this reality because heaven forbid you get the idea that I am eternally cheerful!! 🤣

For the most part, I am … But it takes WORK! 🛠 Not the kind of work that’s boring and pointless…NO ❌ This kind of work is the one that is deep and rich, that has purpose and meaning. And allows me to be functioning as a human at my optimum 95% of the time.

G R A T I T U D E

Goooooood morning everyone! I’m feeling so much gratitude for everything right now. 🙏💕💕

Saturday was the last yoga brunch of the season and was so completely wonderful due to the amazing group of beautiful souls who attended 💜

You know when magic just happens? It was like that; this group of amazingly open, kind, and real women all meeting for the first time and feeling like they’d known each other forever 🥰💕 I felt so lucky and so grateful!

One of these unicorns asked me, “do you ever have a bad day?” And the answer to that is YES. ABSOLUTELY!!

Of course I have bad days. We all do because it’s part of being human. I would be mortified if I gave the impression that I was on 💯% form all the time, because a) it’s not true and b) it’s not realistic!

What I can tell you though is that when I have bad days now, I have practices in place to help me through, a toolbox 🧰 to dig into to help process it and key 🔑; I have compassion for myself to make it less painful. These are things that I have LEARNED to use and develop over time.

We are all able to constantly learn and grow in order to help ourselves so you can absolutely do this too.
