We’re thrilled to share our contribution to the Pease Pottage Community Hub! 🎉🏡

Our team has worked hard to upgrade the space with new lighting, power solutions, and a brand-new defibrillator. It's a pleasure to contribute to such a fantastic place!

The hub is part of the vibrant Woodgate site, featuring 619 new homes, a £4 million Primary School, a café, community centre, parks, and a pavilion. 🏠

This week, our team had the pleasure of revisiting one of our recent projects: 74 affordable one, two, and three-bedroom apartments on Clifton Road, Newhaven for Thakeham 🏡

This project was awarded ‘Best Social Housing Development of the Year’ 2022! These homes not only provide affordable living for the local community with fantastic sustainability with carbon emissions at approximately half the UK average. 👏

Working with the Thakeham team was a pleasure, as always and it was great to see the impressive completed development. 🤩

The Bexhill Electrical team have been busy working away on our Brighton Preston Circus Fire Station project in conjunction with Morgan Sindall. 🚒

We’re proud to announce that two of our team members have been recognised for their exceptional commitment to health and safety standards on site. Morgan Sindall Construction awarded them Supervisor of the Month and Operative of the Month. Great job, team! 🤩👷‍♂️

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Alex from Willingdon Community School in Eastbourne for his week of work experience. At just 15 years old, he embraced the world of electrical work at our site in Marine Court, Hastings. 🤩

It was fantastic to see Alex immerse himself in our industry and handle tasks with enthusiasm. We hope his time with us provided some valuable insights and knowledge for his future career choice. 👏

Sending Alex our best wishes as he continues his studies and prepares for his GCSEs later this year! 📚

New Project Announcement: Temple Gate Homes 🏠

We are excited to announce that we have just received the order for the electrical installation of 120 net zero carbon homes featuring solar panels, air source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging points at Keymer Road in Burgess Hill. 🌱

We are over the moon to be working with Thakeham again on this exciting project.

PROJECT IN PROGRESS: Iqra School in Clapham for Baxall Construction.

The team are busy working away on the 1st fixing on our Clapham school project - ensuring every detail is meticulously attended to. 🤩

It is a great build and we are making fantastic progress on the fitting. We are looking forward to seeing the project all the way through to its completion. 👏

Our director John is taking part in an impressive challenge all in aid of Diabetes UK 👏

Already four weeks deep into the twelve-week Swim22 challenge, John is swimming the equivalent of crossing the English Channel, to France and back again — a total distance of 44 miles! 🏊‍♂️

We are proud to announce that we are the M&E Contractor for the Brighton Preston Circus Fire Station Refurbishment Project. 🤩

The refurbishment is being built by Morgan Sindall Construction and aims to be completed in summer 2024.

The renovation will upgrade the fire station to provide the fire service with a much needed fully compliant building, new office spaces, training room, community space and watch room. The all new fully compliant Mechanical & Electrical services are a huge part of this project and will be carried out by our team. 🤝

We commenced work on the project early this month and look forward to seeing it through to completion. 👏

Last week we donated over 100 Easter Eggs to a local children’s charity, Charity for Kids. Assisting local communities across the local area of Hastings and Rother, they provide help for disabled, sick and terminally ill children and their families. 🫶

We heard from Patsy and Tina at the charity, who delivered the Easter eggs across the weekend to a number of children and their siblings they have recently helped. The charity were really grateful to receive so many eggs. 🐣

Our goal is to continue to work with Charity of Kids over the coming year with further fundraising efforts to support the important work they do in our local communities. 💙

We like to reward our hardworking team and these sausage and bacon rolls went down a treat! 😋

They were working hard on site last Saturday on an installation at the Esperance Flats that is being handed over in May. 👏

We're grateful that they all pull together to get the job done and can't praise them enough. 🤩

It has been a pleasure to be working on the completion of this block of flats in Hove for Trinity Homes. The new development is made up of 52 contemporary 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments.

Bexhill Electrical have been part of the project throughout it's progression and have now seen it through to its successful completion - what a great result! 🤩 💡

Working hard & playing hard - Last night our team enjoyed a great social evening ten-pin bowling. 🎳

A really enjoyable evening, filled with some friendly competition and lots of laughs - particularly at the slightly interesting bowling techniques that were displayed by some of the team. 😂

Last week we were called out by the fire brigade on an emergency in Bexhill for a burnt out fuse board. We received the call at 10pm and within 10 minutes we were on site to make the property safe. 🚒

Unfortunately, for safety the residents did have to move out for the night until we could return early at 8am the next morning to replace their fuse board. A neat and tidy job carried out by one of our 4th year Apprentices. This allowed the customer to move back in right away. 👏

We are proud to have recently completed the incredible new Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC) at Crawley Hospital. This space is designed to reduce waiting times for crucial testing.

This centre, which has been funded by NHS England will help to provide local access for diagnostic testing in Crawley. This will reduce the number of people who have to travel to East Surrey Hospital for MRI and CT scans, along with x-rays, ultrasounds and blood tests.

It's a great project and everything we did was to an exceptional standard to really complement this great new centre..

We recently carried out a new installation for our client, Simply Beautiful Print. ⭐️

They wanted to install a Klieverik Calendar into their print business. This is a large industrial printer and so meant they needed to increase the incoming electrical supply to their premises.

We carefully assisted our client throughout the process and worked with them to ensure down time was kept to an absolute minimum. We ensured their workflow wasn't disrupted throughout the project duration, even working around the installation of the new UKPN supply that was needed to power the new machinery. 🤩

The team did a great job on this one! It certainly wasn't your most straight forward of distribution board changes. Now that it is complete Simply Beautiful Print couldn't be happier. 👏

Last Saturday, a few members of our lovely team enjoyed some well earned downtime and had the absolute pleasure of attending the annual ECA Maidstone & East Kent Branch Dinner Dance. 🥂🥂

It was a great evening held at the Ashford International Hotel with an incredible £11,500 raised for this years chosen charities - the Electrical Industries Charity & Dementia UK. 👏

The team at Bexhill Electrical have been working on the design of the Kingsway To The Sea regeneration project for just over a year now. 🌊

This project aims to regenerate the underused and run-down facilities and green spaces along the West Hove seafront. A really important project that we are proud to be a part of, alongside Morgan Sindall and Brighton & Hove City Council

It's great to finally be on site helping with the temporary builders supply. Watch this space for more updates over the next 12 months. 👀

We recently received a request from prestigious and creative interior designer, Samantha Knight Design, to complete her latest project. 🤩

Her customer had just purchased a wonderful new home, and wished for it to be fully furnished to a luxurious standard, including extensive electrical additions and decoration prior to moving in. 💡

Having seen Samantha’s amazing ideas on paper, it was our absolute pleasure to turn these into a reality.

The project involved:

⭐️ Additional sockets throughout
⭐️ Significant additional lighting in every room
⭐️ Bespoke pendant lighting above the dining table
⭐️ A fully fitted office/ study with LED shelving
⭐️ New TV positions including structural strengthening of the walls behind (including additional shelving/ bespoke floating console units)
⭐️ All making good, decoration & wall papering

The real showstopper of the project is the fully bespoke media unit by Parkway. A intricate piece of joinery stretching the entire 12 metre length of their lounge, complete with LED lighting throughout and hidden TV cabling. 👏

What a stunning result! It was a pleasure working on this project.

Current Project: 👀

We are currently undertaking an extensive electrical installation at Crawley Hospital for the new Child Development Clinic. The new centre will replace an out-dated space currently located within the hospital and is an exciting development for the hospital.

The project is on track to be handed over to the client in November. Over the coming weeks our team will be getting stuck into carrying out the 2nd fix. 👏

On our jobs we pride ourselves on always delivering precision and a tidy finish. You won't see any twisted cable runs from our team. 🤩

It has been great working with team at LST Projects, who are the builders on this project.

John recently popped in to see the progress of the Pease Pottage project Bexhill Electrical have been involved in. Waiting in one of the show homes was this adorable addition - a hedgehog hole in the fence and a lovely warm bed in the guest bedroom.

Talk about attention to detail from the developer. We just had to share 🥰

Thakeham

PROJECT PROGRESS👀:

We have been part of the conversion project by Vulcan Ellis of the old Esperance Hospital, in Eastbourne town centre into a block of flats. The building is being transformed into 45 new homes.

Here, we are installing the new 630ap Main Isolators, ready for the UK Power Networks to turn on the building later this month - exciting. 🤩

It has been a pleasure working with everyone involved on this project. 🤝
