And we're back........ Great to see so many of your lovely faces today, your support is very much appreciated. Ours soups this weekend will start with Lentil & Bacon and Broccoli & Stilton and then thinking a nice chunky chilli beef and maybe a chowder, whats your favourite? Hi everyone, well we were all geared up for a busy weekend at the tearoom but unfortunately a burst pipe in our heating system means we will now be closing early for Christmas, not the end to the year we were hoping for!

We would like to thank you all for you custom, support and friendship over the past year and wish you all a very merry christmas.

We will be back open on Thursday the 19th of January all rested and raring to go......take care of yourselves and we will see you all in the new year.

Hi folks, this weekend we are open Friday and Sunday 10-3pm and CLOSED Saturday to allow our staff to enjoy Biggar show, if you are popping in to see us we will have Moroccan chickpea, chicken noodle and cream of tomato soup, baked potatoes, toasties and focaccia on the menu, or if you fancy something sweet plenty of home baking. Hi everyone, we are open today and tomorrow,10-3pm then closed for a couple of days, reopen Saturday 9th July at 10am.

On the menu today, our homemade focaccia, soups are Spanish chicken or courgette and cheddar and our scones are plain, fruit or blueberry

The Tearoom will be CLOSED this Sunday the 3rd of April. We are however here today and tomorrow from 10-3pm.

Mobile phone handed into us today, it was found on Tinto last weekend, will keep a hold of it til Monday when I will take it to Lanark police station.

Tweedsmuir & Upper Tweed Community First Responders today finalised the installation of the first of three Public Access Defibrilators (PAD's) planned to be installed before the end of the year across our Biggar response area.

This PAD had been installed at The Milk Hut at Tinto Tearoom. It is available 24/7.

This PAD is available for anyone to use in an emergency, and can be used by anyone, whether they are trained in its use or not.
The semi-automated PAD gives clear audio and visual instructions to its user.

In an emergency, dial 999 first, and ask for the Ambulance Service. The call handler may ask you or someone with you to collect a PAD which is near you. This will not delay help. A Community First Responder or Emergency Ambulance will arrive as soon as possible.

The purchase and installation of this PAD would not have been possible without a donation made by Robert Kerr. We thank Robert and his mother Karen for the support they have given our Scheme. We would also like to thank our Electrician David Murray for his support in the installation of this PAD.
