It was enlightening to get the feedback from clients during our workshops on Upstream Networks Solutions and Total Leakage. Crowders are proud to be Gold Sponsors of the 10th Edition of Water Loss Asia, where this year’s theme is Asian Perspectives on Water Loss Management and Carbon Reduction. Tom Crowder and Gillian Sowden (Directors at Crowder Consulting ) will be speaking at the conference on Targeting Water Loss Reduction more Effectively & Improving Leakage Detection Efficiency which covers the application of analytics, digital applications, and mobile working in leakage detection. They will also be hosting a workshop titled Making Consumptions Dynamic & Water Balance Smarter which focuses on the analysis of smart metering data and application in the water balance.

We had a relaxed evening at the VIP clubhouse in Roxy Ball Room Liverpool Hanover Street. The team got to play a few games of pool and shuffleboard, before digging into some delicious pizza and nibbles. 🎱 🍕

It's good to get out of the office and communicate across teams in a casual setting 🤝 they all enjoyed their evening too, which is what its all about.

We hosted a Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning, where the tasty treats went down brilliantly with a hot drink, so thank you to our bakers and those that brought in cakes. It was a great chance to chat, eat and raise money for the fabulous Macmillan nurses. We raised a grand total of £123, so big thanks to everyone who gave kind donations! 🙏 💚

Big thank you Conor Mooney for your time with our engineers, sharing your experience on DMA Establishment on Water Loss Reduction Contracts in Ethiopia. The contract has had several challenges such as intermittent supply and extremely low pressures and it is good to see how you are tackling these.

Last Friday, we sponsored the Crowder Cup, hosted by Yorkshire Water at Goals Leeds, where 3 teams of 7 competitive Crowder footballers, battled other utilities/companies to win this year's football tournament. We entered the following teams: Real Losses, Water Balance Wanderers & Inter NetConn.

After several intense games, Real Losses progressed into the main competition, but unfortunately were the runners up after losing on penalties in the final game.

Don't worry lads, you played really well, better luck next year!

We're very proud of our teams for participating in a fun but important event to raise money and awareness for WaterAid UK.

We hosted a Summer BBQ in the Birkenhead office, where we had an array of delicious food, from lamb koftas, angus beef burgers to some squeaky halloumi cheese. Everyone had a lovely time together, winding down after the working week. 🍔 🌭

An enthusiastic group of Crowders joined together for a team building weekend away in Keswick filled with activities such as Ghyll Scrambling, a hike up Walla Crag, kayaking and paddle boarding which included a mammoth paddle board that 10 of them were on! A great opportunity for the team to encourage and get to know one another outside of the office environment.

Northumbrian Water Group hosted their annual Innovation Festival last week. Our guys had a brilliant time working with one another and other industry professionals on various sprints to produce viable solutions to challenges that are affecting our industry. Half the team worked with Esri UK on the sprint titled 'Can a national unified utility incident alert service minimize the impacts on other asset owners and operators?' and the other half worked with CKDelta to investigate 'How do we account for illegal abstraction from our Water Network?'. Both really interesting topics of conversation.
