Wonder if these Cub Scouts earned their Musician Badge?
Young Leaders (14-18) can volunteer alongside adult leaders in a Squirrel Drey, Beaver Colony, Cub Pack or Scout Troop ⚜
They're a valuable asset to any leadership team and play an active role in the section, bringing a range of fresh ideas to the table and acting as positive role models for the young people they work alongside.

We may be in the holiday break but our volunteers are still giving up their time to keep the grounds tidy.

Eid Mubarak! 🌙
Tonight we learnt about Eid and made Ma’amoul. They smelt delicious 🤤 We discussed the five pillars of Islam, why they are important, and how these may tie in with our own beliefs.
Whilst discussing Zakat, we developed “the £5 challenge” where we started off the young people’s charitable ventures by giving them a £5 note. We’ll be checking in each week this term to see who has used it to raise the most money and who has done it in the most impactful way.
Last weekend, some of our Explorers headed to the Lickey Hills for our Eggstraordinary Camp! This laid back camp included cricket, wide games, a film night, ice cream, a night walk, and an egg hunt! Oh, and LOTS of wind! 💨
We’ve been busy the last two weeks of term!
- One of the Explorers celebrated their Birthday 🎂
- We invested a new member ⚜️
- The Explorers got involved in a programme review ✅❌
- And the best, food tasting! Starting with blind folded branded vs unbranded. It was an even split between the two. It’s fair to say, Marmite is definitely 'love it or hate it'. We then tried foods from South Korea 🇰🇷, China 🇨🇳, and Taiwan 🇹🇼, including roasted fish crisps, , banana milk, and white rabbit.
Thank you to our Leaders and Helpers who volunteered last weekend with our spring clean. Your help is greatly appreciated and means we can continue to provide amazing experiences in a safe environment. 🤩
Thank you also to and Gardner In Birmingham for supporting us!
Make a difference this Easter🤝. Nominate a community group for a £1000 grant!💛

A long time ago, on a campsite far, far away, we met Ballinora Scout Group from Ireland 🇮🇪 and we’ve kept in touch.
We were really excited a while ago when we received we received some goodies 😁 collected from around Ireland, local camps and national jamborees.
We sent some UK, District and Group neckers and badges to our friends over in Cork - we hope you liked them as much as we did yours!
Thank You!!!!

✅ We started with line throwing, CPR, and recovery position practice to refresh their first aid basics.
✅ Then we had a group chat about International Women's Day on Friday, followed by a game of headbands - all featuring inspirational women from past and present!
✅ Then we finished by announcing exciting plans for camps, activities and events over the next 6 months!
Have you booked on to Forward 2024 yet? Bookings are open for all Scouts so see your Troop Leader for all the details.
