Get your carbs serviced
Strip inspect clean set up

Full strip clean inspection floats and diaphragms checked

All jets removed cleaned

Float heights adjusted

Needle heights checked inspected

Fuel/air mix screws adjusted

All seals checked or replaced

Float valve needles and seat inspected or replaced

Leak tested

Prices start at £65 clean strip rebuild

Float repair kits start at £60 good oem quality or oem parts fitted

Can post UK only postage on average is around £14 each way

Bench synchronised (all butterfly valves set same height)

TIPS before fitting freshly serviced carbs

To ensure carbs to stay in good working order once been serviced make sure you have a good inline filter on fuel hose tap to carbs

Make sure you have good condition genuine spark plugs (use a reputable dealer as many replica spark plugs are flooding the market mind the pun)

Make sure spark plug caps and coils are in good working order

Use fresh fuel e5

Make sure tank is drained if old fuel is inside

Maintain your battery with trickle charger

Fuel pump is in good working order

Fuel tap is in good working order

Make sure all manifold rubbers are in good condition no cracks perishing hard or out of shape

And make sure your valve clearances are within spec

Season starting now 10th set of the year slow start but know its going to get silly busy possibly be able to take an apprentice on this year 1 day a week to begin with gotta have passion for bikes and an eye for detail willing to learn listen have patience in Birmingham UK

For the right candidate would be on a monthly trial volunteery but travel lunch would be provided

Between 5 to 8 hour day depending on work load etc flexible to suit individual

At the moment would be thinking the opening would be around mid April 2024

Almost done been a labour of love so to speak not much swearing involved 😂

ffs can anyone spot the missing part I gotta dismantle them again for the cable mount and return spring haha thought I could get it on in end but nope Sod’s Law doesn’t fit unless separated also the slide rod mechanism needs extracting to mount it and bolt it down

Everyday is a school day but literally built these up from already stripped down in a box so not end of the world

Happy with the results though nearly 50 year old carburettors

Getting there slowly but surely

All clean on the rebuild now

First pics how they come out of ultrasonic cleaner other 2 is what's done by hand then finished in cleaner it's not put them in a cleaner and magic all done 60% the work work is carried out by hand

Before and after first ultrasonic bath still gotta completely strip and another 2 to 3 baths till I'm happy
