A difficult post to write, where do I start?

Lockdown gave me plenty of time to think and reflect like so many others, and decide what was important to me.
I run a childminding business and SJOChic and found after dividing my time between them both there has been no time for me and life is too short.
So I have made the decision to close down SJOChic. It has been so much fun and I have met so many lovely people along the way.
I will always be very grateful to everyone for your support.

Love a before and after photo. Paris Grey with Old White dry brushing with layering to give this piece a good quality look with added charm and character. Finished off with a pretty and delicate rabbit fabric.

Sorry for the silence super busy at the moment finishing off some commission pieces. This pretty piece just having last finishing touches and the stool re-upholstered.

Not taking any more commission orders now until maybe July time, sorry.

Changing a plain mdf meter cupboard into somehing a little bit more stylish.

Add cladding to the door, paint and pick some Black Ironmongery.

I remember this project now with great achievement, the amount of times I thought about giving up but the result was so worth not giving in 🙂

All done with a simple but long process sanding, prepping, Annie Sloan paints and two coats of dark wax.

Just loving pastels at the minute.
Annie Sloan has so many colours to choose from or mix them together to make your own shade.

I love plate racks they give such interest, some pine with little drawers some just spindles for plates and some both, another one booked in to do.

Need to do a couple of these little cuties for my own Country kitchen when I get a minute spare.

It’s the little finishing touches that make all the difference.

I have a beautiful dressing table in the workshop at the moment, already has plenty of detail just needs a revamp to enhance and bring all that character out.

So to start, prepping cleaning, checking any damage sanding areas and then ready to paint. Paint all ordered so ready to go 🙂

Just love Duck Egg Blue with Old White then add a little stencil to this wooden blanket box, true Shabbychic style.

An old foot stool revamped to continue its journey in life.

Painted in the lovely Eco Annie Sloan French Linen with clear wax for protection then upholstered in a fabric to match the couples own decor.

This was a little keepsake for a couple to treasure memories ❤️

Another sentimental piece of furniture, revamped with Annie Sloan Paris Grey and upholstered in bubble fabric perfect keepsake.
