🇫🇷LES MISÉRABLES - AUDITION UPDATE 📣

We’ve had a great response from people wanting to take part in Les Misérables next year. For those that have applied, the audition pieces and character bios are now available on the BMOS website: https://bmosmusicals.org/?page_id=2817

If you have applied, please read all the information on the website, particularly the dates you need to be available. The dates vary depending on whether you are applying for ensemble/minor roles only or principal roles.

Because of the volume of applicants, we are restricting applications for principal roles to two per person and the website explains what you need to do to confirm the roles you wish to audition for.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the launch on 11th September where we will talk about the workshops and auditions in more detail. If you have applied but cannot attend the launch, you will be contacted by email to confirm the next steps.

We’ve had some great responses from the West Midlands since announcing that we will be one of 11 lead societies invited to produce the UK Amateur Premiere of LES MISÉRABLES in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Boublil & Schönberg’s legendary musical.

But there are still spaces left! BMOS will work in collaboration with WBOS - Musical Theatre Shows, Bilston Operatic Company and Bournville Musical Theatre Company in this region-wide community project.

We’re really excited to present Les Misérables in Birmingham next year at The Alexandra. It’s a great opportunity for local performers to be part of this very special production! 🇫🇷

Les Misérables is a considerably more costly production than normal, but we are committed to remaining as inclusive as possible by providing ways to ensure talented people are able to take part - regardless of income.

We are delighted to offer support in two ways:
- Bursaries for individuals who are less able to cover their own costs
- Discounted production fees for young people under 25 or in full time education

Fancy treading the boards of The Alexandra stage next summer? The launch event will take place at 7:30pm on 11th September at The Old Rep Theatre Birmingham, workshops will be held throughout September, and auditions will be in October. PLEASE NOTE there are two forms you need to fill in on the website - one for the launch night, and one to apply for auditions.

Information for children’s roles will be released at a later date.

On Saturday night Wonka opened his factory gates for the last time and we completed our run of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 🍫

This production truly was a triumph for BMOS, and we can’t quite believe we performed to around 6,500 people across the week! Thank you to our amazing audiences for cheering us on. The cast worked incredibly hard to make this a fantastic show for you.
