Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is a common respiratory virus that usually causes mild, cold-like symptoms during the winter months. Adults aged 75-80 years are at the greatest risk of hospitalisation with more severe respiratory disease. There is a significant burden of RSV illness in the UK population which has a considerable impact on NHS services during winter months. Invitations will be sent out to all eligible patients with links to book.

We will be implementing several improvements to our phone systems and processes from Friday 26th January 2024. These changes are being put in place to make a positive impact for patients. They will lower hold times, increase our capacity and should assist in the efficiency of the practice dealing with patients requirements. Some aspects may take longer to implement than others, but please be assured, we have our patients best interests at the forefront of our priorities at all times.
The staff at Greengate Medical Centre would like to express their gratitude for the generosity and kindness of patients who have bought in Christmas cards, thank you notes and lovely gifts to the Practice. The Practice will close on Friday 22nd December at 4:00pm and will reopen at 8:00am on Wednesday 27th December 2023.

There is a message book at the front desk for those who would like to leave well wishes on Dr Greer's retirement as staff and patients have asked for this. Thank you for all the positive, supportive messages so far.
