After 9 wonderful years at Springs, I've decided to move onto pastures new! I have decided to no longer work on a self employed basis, and have accepted a job with the lovely team at Saks based within David Lloyd. Saturday 19th August will be my last working day at Springs.

Thank you so incredibly much to all of my clients, past and present, for your custom, support, and most importantly friendship over my 9 years at Springs. Some of you have watched me grow in my profession, from an apprentice, to a qualified beauty therapist, to building and running my own little business. I wouldn't be where I am today without you all, and I appreciate every single one of you so much!

Hi everyone! On Thursday, I will start my challenge to walk 148 miles in September!

As some of you already know, in April one of my family members were admitted to Great North Children's Hospital and stayed there for 2 months. I'd like to raise money to thank the hospital for the treatment and care that they gave to my family during a very worrying time.

I've decided to walk the equivalent distance from my home in Bolton, to GNCH in Newcastle, which is 148 miles, throughout September. This will be roughly 12,000 steps a day, which will be quite the challenge as I'm sat down for most of the day at work!

My lovely client Rachel has been coming to me for a few years now for massage treatments, but after the winter lockdown she decided that she wanted to invest in a course of facials.

I made up a bespoke package for her of weekly facials which included microdermabrasion to resurface the skin and help diminish any acne scarring, direct high frequency to stimulate an antibacterial effect on the skin, killing P.acne bacteria and also shrinking the appearance of pores, and red LED light therapy to promote tissue repair and reduce inflammation and redness. We then finished the course with a BHA peel to really cleanse the pores of any dead skin cells and excess sebum.

I advised her of home care products to add into her routine which she has been a superstar in following!

She now comes in for a facial every 4-6 weeks to continue the progress being made.

I've absolutely LOVED these courses! So in depth, so much learnt, and such valuable information. From the basic microbiology, to the different side effects from cancer treatments, to seeing what cancer means to people actually facing it and their different perspectives and so much more.
