I'll never find the words to describe just how much working at Vocal means to me. I get a lump in my throat when I think of it ending.
To provide a service that changes someone's day, or their week, or their outlook for the rest of that day. Maybe I help them sleep that night. Maybe they off load their stresses and feel better after it. Whatever the outcome, it's so rewarding!

I'm very pleased to share that I'm on the mend🎉🎊 I'm just back from the doctors and they are very happy with my foot. I've been on a higher dosage of antibiotics than they'd have prescribed, so 7 days is enough. They've gave me a cooling gel for bed time as I'm not sleeping with the niggles, but we are confident I'll be 100% in the next few days🤞
It's good to feel good 🥰 (I even got dressed and put makeup on today 🤣🤣)

Normal service will resume next week 💅💆‍♀️💖🥳

Thank you to all of you for your kind, caring wishes on here and personal messages. This was my foot at 2.30am this morning and it now. Hopefully meds are all kicking in now and the absolute fear of sepsis from cellulitis is behind me 🙏I cannot tell you all how much I'm relieved to be home. I cried when that flight left Turkey runway last night!!! We dreaded we wouldn't get home.
We had some lovely times but far too many bad (mostly my foot) to call that a holiday. I'm so so happy to be home. Thank you to my client Sarah for being on speed dial all week, and thanks to her I saw a doctor in time. I'll forever be grateful for her late night advice 💖
For now, it's rest, rest, rest. So I can get back to work ASAP.

Unfortunately, I have a bad skin infection in my right foot and will not be able to work on Monday, possibly Tuesday. I won't know who is in my diary until Sunday, but if you know you have me on Monday, then I'm cancelling now. I'm limping faster than I have been, but I'm only on day 2 of antibiotics. It will be days before I can drive or stand, I've no ankle and can only walk in Primark £1.50 flipflops (however in the photo I got my toes into a sandal 😂)
I will contact everyone on Sunday. I'm really sorry. 🙄💗

Sorry I have been really quiet on here for a few weeks. May has been very busy, and then I was unwell and off sick for a week.

I take my Summer break 2 weeks today and I am fully booked between now and then. I have no mobile appointments at all.

This week is going to be a better one 🙏
The hardest part of my job (which you'd think if I was a carer or a nurse etc) is getting attached and then losing people. I care about way more than just the beauty ❤️

A week past Friday, I went into the hospital to do my clients nails for the last time as she received palative care. Sheila passed away on Sunday morning.
Last Sunday I received a message to say my client Lisa at Drummondgrange was at the end of life, and she passed away on Monday.
Yesterday I received a message to let me know one of my new clients, whom I only met once and was going to see again this week, passed away on Saturday.

The hardest one to process was Lisa, as I saw her twice a week every week for around 2 years.
Sheila, I knew it was coming, however saying goodbye was beyond heart-breaking.

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Sheila Watson, Lisa Armstrong and Susan from Roslin. May they be free of pain and be at peace now. ❤️

Tomorrow's mother of the bride nails. Classic French using negligee, with blushing topaz over lady lilly for the tip. She is wearing cake pop with blushing topaz on the toes (remember my earlier post of the Lux CND SPA pedicure) so using blushing topaz in the French, brings fingers and toes together ❤️ 💅
