Summer Family Day 2024 💛

We loved hosting family day yesterday. A day where the children can bring mums, dads, guardians, grandparents to the nursery and show them around. It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to see all the parents and you really see the children shine as they excitedly show their loved ones what they do during their sessions at nursery.

We were even blessed with a short spell of glorious sunshine ☀️

The Little House Outside Classroom 🏠💛

Th children love being able to listen to the birds whilst reading a book, or doing some crafts.

The only thing we need now, is some sun 😅🌞

The weather may not be what we want right now, but the BMC garden is loving the sporadic rain & sun! 🤩

We currently have runner beans, tomato's, pumpkins and lots of potatoes growing. The children have loved planting, watering and nurturing these plants. When they're ready, they will also harvest them. 🥔🥒🍅

The children in the Big House have been busy learning about the life cycle of a frog! They have made each part with great detail and loved making the different parts of the process 🐸

The garden is all set up for Little House fun this morning! We are loving this weather, and so are the children!

The 25th April marks Liberation Day in Italy 🇮🇹
Buon 25 Aprile to all of our Italian Families!

We were so lucky to have a visit from yesterday morning 🏊‍♀️. The children loved learning about the different flags used by Life Guards on the beach!

The children loved taking part in a small workshop run by CycleMe Tots! They were shown how to ride balance bikes and discussed road safety together. 😎🚴‍♀️

It is with great sadness we wish to inform you that our original practical tutor and friend Rachel Flynn died at home recently.
Those of you who knew her will be saddened by her passing. Her humour, dedication and knowledge was an enormous part of BMC's journey & success.

Eid Mubarak to all our Muslim children and people around the world! Our children have loved creating this special board to celebrate. We hope you all have a wonderful time.

With Spring (hopefully) on it's way soon, the children spent time this morning discussing the different birds we see in the garden and when they start nesting! 🐣🌞

It is with sadness that we write to inform you that Margaret Barnes, Bournemouth Montessori Centre's founder, has died peacefully at home after an heroic battle with cancer. She started BMC in 1990 and the college and nursery's success are due to her dedication and service. She will be missed by many.

Buona Festa della Donna; Happy International Women's Day! Mimosa flowers are traditionally gifted to women and girls on this special day in Italy. After close inspection, the children reproduced the Mimosa flowers using their fingers and a fork. We think they look absolutely gorgeous! Thank you, Manuela, for this wonderful group lesson! Happy International Women's Day to all women today. You are amazing!!

The children thoroughly enjoyed adding their choice of topping to their pancakes this week, as we celebrated Pancake Day together. Delicious!
