This five-day course is the perfect introduction to the world of game development and character animation! Students will be given the option of either creating a game during the week or concentrating on learning to animate a 3D character. They can even tackle both options if they prefer.

Hosted at Talbot Heath School in Bournemouth (BH4 9NJ), this introductory course for boys and girls (from any school) is aimed at all ages and ideal for beginners – absolutely no prior experience is necessary.

Hosted at Talbot Heath School in Bournemouth this introductory course for boys and girls (from any school) is aimed at ages 8-16 and is ideal for beginners – absolutely no prior experience is necessary!

As part of 'Wake up to AUB' in Bournemouth Town Centre, cgApprentice will be hosting a green screen demonstration using the Unreal Engine in The Avenue Arcade on Saturday 18th February 2023.

Using real-time technology and practices, we will provide a quick tour of our set-up, place your child (or an adult!) within a digital background and then composite them onscreen in real-time.

We will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have regarding animation, computer games, VFX, and virtual production as well as possible educational routes for those interested in pursuing a career in the digital creative industries.

Using the world-famous Unreal Engine (the same software used to create games such as Fortnite and TV shows The Mandalorian, Loki and Obi-Wan Kenobi) students will learn how to make their very own 3D game that they can take home to play (MS Windows 10 only with compatible compatible spec).

This creative course for boys and girls (from any school) is aimed at all ages between 8 to 16, and is ideal for beginners – absolutely no prior experience is necessary (although we have updated our game content to include several new puzzle elements and environments, allowing for more advanced features to be introduced to those students who have worked with the Unreal Engine before).
