As the diligent recyclers among you may know, for a long time Lush have collected drinks bottle tops through our UK&I shops and even had a runaway freepost system that went viral in 2018, resulting in thousands of bottle tops being sent in by wonderful green heroes around the UK&I (that’s you!) ♻️.

However, as more and more local authorities begin to accept bottle tops through kerbside recycling and as we are no longer creating Lush furniture with the bottle board, we have been reassessing the scheme’s feasibility. Therefore, we have taken the decision to stop accepting bottle tops through our business, both through our shops and through any direct postal service, as of 1st April 2021.

What will you be treating yourself to on your first visit?

Lush stores always strive to create a safe and inclusive place for all, and we have been dedicated to this mission for as long as we can remember.

Unfortunately the events over the last week in London and the last couple of months in the Bournemouth area has reminded everyone how much work needs to go in to making public spaces not just feel, but actually be safe for all.

Our team is diverse, but we are a majority of women and we have all felt the pain, violation and uncertainty that so many people across the country have felt over the last week.

So we want you all to know that EVERYONE who may be feeling vulnerable or unsafe for whatever reason is welcome with open arms into our store when we are present. Speak to any member of our team who can work with our management team to ensure you aren’t left feeling like you have nowhere to turn, and help you reach someone at a station if necessary. We are hoping to reopen our doors on April 12th with the government guidelines so please keep an eye on this page for more information closer to the time!

It’s Kindness week ❤️

Yesterday we started our week long tour of Bournemouth & Poole dropping of our Fresh & Flowers Subscription boxes to those lucky selected nominees.

What are you doing at home or at work this week to spread some kindness to those around you? We’d love to know!

Keep an eye out for our Delivery Van that is out and about in the Poole and Bournemouth area over the next week. We’ll be delivering our Fresh and Flowers subscription boxes to those selected nominees for some well deserved treats.
