Talbot Primary School
Welcome to the official page of Talbot Primary School, Poole
Talbot Primary School is excited to announce that we will be hosting its third annual Little Wonders EYFS Festival on Monday 9th September 2024 for ANY parents in the BCP area with children who are of nursery age and looking at Reception Starter applications.
The festival will give parents and children the chance to take part in workshops that will support their childβs early development in Maths, Reading and Writing. There will also be the opportunity to learn other essential skills that children joining EYFS will need.
There will be a host of other free activities running such as parent and child swim sessions, games supporting fundamental movement skills, marshmallow roasting at our Forest School and the opportunity to get their hands dirty in our school garden!
The festival will run from 4pm-6pm and is open to all who are starting school anywhere in the BCP area over the next few years.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to our wonderful school!
As we reach the end of this academic year, itβs time to pop a date in your diary. Talbot Bonfore and Fireworks is on Tuesday 5th November 2024. As it is on the actual bonfore night we have been promised an extra special display. Ticket details will follow but for now, mark the date and let friends and families know - Tuesday 5th November 2024.

Good afternoon and happy Comic Relief Day! We have had quite the selection of jokes, with the queue to see Mr Browne stretching almost all the way around the school during lunchtime! It was a hard job, but here are the favourites... and yes, at least one of them made him laugh! We hope you enjoy watching them.

That's Autumn term complete! This week has been extremely busy with Christmas jumper day, Christmas lunch, breakfast with Santa and party day π₯³
The children have behaved brilliantly and there has been a lovely exciting buzz around school.
On top of the Christmas excitement the children have completed some brilliant work which you can see in these photos.
We wish all of our Talbot families a wonderful, safe and happy festive season and look forward to seeing you in 2024
π Xmas jumper day π
What a wonderfully exciting day we had today. Christmas jumper day and Christmas lunch!
So lovely to see the children and staff in their festive jumpers.
We can't wait for tomorrow, its Christmas party day! Don't forget children can wear party clothes and bring in a plate of party food π₯³
We are always thrilled to receive positive feedback. This lovely comment was sent to us by a prospective parent who visited our Little Wonders Early Years event earlier this term.
If you are thinking of where to send your child in September 2024 then we still have visits available. We are very happy that this child and their family have put Talbot as their first choice and would love to show you our school, staff and the facilities we have on offer.
π Fabulous Friday π
We've had a wonderful Christmassy week at Talbot.
A huge well done to Early years who despite only starting school 11 weeks ago put on their very own Nativity this week π
We also had lovely performances from Year 1 and 2, they certainly got everyone in the Christmas spirit
On Tuesday our annual Christmas carol service took place at St Marks Church, it was lovely to hear the choir and to see the children playing their instruments. A wonderful festive evening π«
On top of this we are very proud of the fabulous work shown in this post, despite the Christmas excitement the children have been working so hard in their lessons.
β»οΈ Happy Eco Christmas β»οΈ
Children were invited to make Christmas decorations from recycled materials. This was to highlight the amount of waste at Christmas and to encourage people to reduce their carbon footprint π£
This project was run by our Eco Leaders and we think you would agree they've done an amazing job. Not only to inspire the rest of the school to make these decorations but to also think about the important reason behind it π
π Talent Tuesday π
We love to highlight the wonderful talent we have here at Talbot. This week we are sharing Olivia from Year 2.
Olivia is a dancing, cheerleading and gymnast extraordinaire! She competes across all of these disciplines and enjoyed showing her class the trophies and medals she has won recently
π Well done Olivia we are so proud of you
π¦ Birdwatching trip π¦
A throwback to Year 6 enjoying a bird watching trip last week. A wonderful opportunity for the children to learn about the local wildlife
