Nursery have enjoyed being independent this year. The children are encouraged to choose their own snack, use their manners, prepare their snack and enjoy eating it! So independent they've started tidying up after themselves too!

What an amazing opportunity some of your year 6 tennis players had last week, representing our school at a LTA coaching session. One of our very own year 6 girls did the coin toss on centre court for the professional matches. Hopefully witnessing these amazing athletes will inspire our children to dream big! What a day!

The language used here is remarkable, each word a vivid splash of creativity and joy! Year 4 have had fun using chatterpix to help them write a persuasive speech linked to their class book, Firework Maker's Daughter. Would you come to Ramashi's Jungle Grill?

We have had a fabulous day working with author Daniel Ingram-Brown and making new friends with children from The Boyle and Petyt school. Dan helped us to share the characters we had created in our own groups, and then we set about 'introducing' the characters to each other. It was interesting to find out what they had in common and how they were also very different. We then wrote short diary entries in character and started to create a group poem. A super experience and we are all looking forward to meeting again next week.

As a parent, speaking with your children about their school life helps children validate their learning experiences as well as add value to the overall context of their learning. Have you asked your children what their favourite subject is and why? If not, try it today! Here is Mr Procter sharing his favourite subject, thank you Mr Procter for your passion and commitment to the children of our school!

School does not close at 3:30! Professional development of teachers is paramount to the continuous growth of our school. We continue to prioritise teacher CPD as a driver to increase motivation, confidence, and commitment to teaching as well as learning new skills and applying them in the classroom can lead to a more effective teaching environment. Thank you to our SCIL team and Mrs Sabir for organising some very informative CPD on emotion coaching. Mental health and wellbeing of all children will always be central to our mission!

OUR GIRLS COMING BACK WITH SILVER 😭

Our last home training session they performed for our tinys and minis and our little Bonnie said “wow they are so good… we’ll be like them one day”. I asked our girls to give it everything they had for our girls back home and they did just that!

It take’s a village to raise a child and a strong coaching team to create world class athletes and we couldn’t of done it without our Co-Coach Louis Bottomley! This ones for you our king of pom 👑

Taking inspiration from the sounds around us to write poetry. Just like Elizabeth "Libba" Cotten, an influential American folk and blues musician. She was a self-taught left-handed guitarist who played a guitar strung for a right-handed player, but played it upside down.
