Continuing the Hare Flies tattooed illustration, more to come but here the story:

When Hare, flying through the sweet, soft dusk of the gloaming, sees a little human who may be feeling a bit under the weather, he knows just who to call on from the creatures of the Wild Wood. Tapping his paw on the roof of the little one's home, Hare summons the smallest, but the mightiest, of the Magic Ones and out of the thickets and copses, from the wild flower glades and the cottage gardens, comes the beautiful harmonic hum of the Wild Bees. These are not ordinary bees, though of course all bees are equal in the sight of the Great Queen Mother Bee, these are the night flying, dusk pollinating Healing Honey Bees, their striped fur soft as carded thistledown, their wings a blur of whirring opal and their hearts full of love and the ancient medicinal knowledge of generations of workers amongst the flowers before them. The Wild Bees not only forage amongst the earthly borage, clover and lilacs of this world but gather gleams of healing from the blossoms of other, spirit places kept secret by the Mother Bee. When Hare calls them they gather up their special honey, that golden, fragrant ambrosia wick and potent with the true life of the Wood and fly on shimmering wings to the little person in need. A tiny, tiny drop of that amber medicine, sweet as sunshine and every childhood summer, helps cure worries and frets, soothes tired souls and softens sorrows. All Hare's wild companions are wonderful and wondrous but the Bees are the tireless singing workers who dance with the joy of bee-ing and distill the Woodland magic to bring comfort to the needy. Great Queen Mother Bee, protect and care for us all and we will always care for your myriad hordes of glorious bees.
