Looking forward to using Capto Gen 3 in my putting lessons .
An example of how a change of ball position, hand position and a change in concept of how we move the putter changes the tempo of the stroke.
Fantastic experience with Adam this morning some exciting additions to bag this season .
It might be cold but the views are still great! .
First swings of 2023, working on a more athletic setup and leg work in the swing 🏌️♂️ .
Pitching practice session yesterday using Mevo+ to help with getting the correct launch angle, good start but plenty of work to do.
Grip, posture, ball position, club face and body alignment. These are the five fundamentals that ALL golfers should always check and maintain, especially if making changes at this time of year to your game
Great to be back out coaching. One of my lessons was with former Essex Colts Captain and current Thornton Cup player who was struggling with distance control on longer putts. Using we found that he added loft on the putter at address and with a change of ball and handle position found he could reduce the loft at address and maintain it through the stroke, we saw a reduced dispersion and more putts being holed. Keep up the good work!
Gutted to have missed the cut in the English PGA Championship at Bowood, gave myself a great chance but a disappointing back 9 in round 2 meant I packed my bags early. Looking forward to a couple of days off before being back coaching on Monday
Perfect day for the Club Championship at Thorndon Park
Great day at the London Club for my dads birthday, great course, great facilities and can’t wait to play it again
Nice to get my bag delivered today to match my set. Looking forward to using it in events soon
Great work from David, over the last couple of weeks we have done some great work with his swing and last week we focused on his putting. He was mainly struggling with distance control so a change in ball positioning and length of backswing (second video) saw an immediate improvement in launch angle (last picture), distance control and an increase in putts from 5-10 ft holed. After two great rounds this weekend Davids handicap has come down from 7 to 5. Keep up the great work.
Good first lesson with working on the correct setup and half swings to get the body rotating correctly and impact position
Before our lesson, Tommy struggled to control his driver. We worked on reducing the early extension to get his hips rotating rather than thrusting towards the ball, this caused the club to drop too far behind him. To help reduce this, we worked on copying trigger move to rehearse his impact position before he hit the shot and we saw an immediate improvement in ball striking, shot height and shape
Good lesson with Oli this weekend, his bad shot with the driver was a hook. We started by working on his body alignment as he had a right aim bias and became very closed to the target. Secondly he has the feeling that the butt of the club is driving towards the ball to start the downswing, this helped keep the club on a better plane on the downswing and made the swing path more neutral and the ball flight became a draw
Bullseye 🎯🎯 ⛳
Great lesson today with Conor, we worked on picking a target out in front of the ball to improve aim as well as taking the club back straighter to improve swing plain and to stop the club getting too flat in the backswing ⛳
Really sad to read this article. This is a reminder to all golfers that we still need to be keeping 2 metres apart despite being on the golf course otherwise we will lose the luxury of playing the sport we love
First UK golf club closure confirmed following COVID-19 lockdown - bunkered.co.uk Sad news.
Good practice session this evening after work. I spent most of my time focusing on what every golfer has control of........their set up!! Grip, posture, alignment and ball positioning. Concentrate on these areas and you will get a more consistent strike, shot height and shot shape.
Another productive day coaching, here are some before and afters
Great to get back out coaching today (following government guidelines of course). Here one of our members was struggling with distance control from 10-25ft and an change in ball position and tempo with the help of saw an immediate improvement
Good to be back 🏌️♂️
Great to be back out playing today ⛳️
Week 3 update on the workouts, so far there have great improvements in speeds recorded. When swinging the lightest stick at the end of the workout I started at 116mph and today registered my fastest speed of 131mph. Looking forward to seeing how far I can go 💪🏌️♂️💨
