Over the past year or so Karl Turner and Chris Ware have been running a lot of matches at Durleigh with great success. They have a lot more going on next year starting off with this one. All details are below with who to contact and payments :)

Ticket prices are £35 each match non refundable but you can transfer tickets to other anglers. (Please update Karl Turner or myself if this is happening)

Matrix Durleigh Festival 2022

If there were any doubts that Mark Bartlett could continue his Durleigh Festival winning streak they were emphatically dismissed with a decisive first day far bank victory ,gracing the scales pan with 37kg 875g(83lb 8oz) which included a Carp of 10kg 900(24lb)! Employing his ledgendary long-range method feeder tactics with boilie and wafter hookbaits he tempted a further 11 Bream to complete his catch.
Second on the day was forces sweetheart Adam Palmer producing a Stakhanovian farbank effort utilising similar long-range method feeder tactics to the winner to crash 29kg 925g(66lb) on the scales.
Rob Fogg ,another long-range Lothario💕and unscrupulous seducer of Bream, cliched 3rd place with 24kg 450g from his far bank peg.
Rounding off the frame was Bridgwater's very own Chris Ware ,affectionately known as Captain Haddock due to his striking simularity to Tin Tin's mucka and an unfortunate habit of being battered both sides! Seriously, he's fished a blinder paralysing the lodge bank with 19kg 175g(42lb 4oz) of Bream on both method and open-end feeder tactics from a peg in the shallows.

Day 2 saw Roach catches dominating the frame, leading the way was Plum Lane parvenu Tony Goodland with a laudable 18kg 775g (41lb 6oz)of Redfins whipped at 3 and 4m using caster and maggot hookbaits.
Dave Brewer upset the Roach roadshow with a farbank Bream haul totalling 17kg 900g(39lb 8oz), most of his fish falling to open-end feedered worm.
Paul Purchase fired 16kg 900g(37lb 4oz) of quality Roach into the scales pan to claim 3rd place fishing a 4m whip with caster and maggot hookbaits.
Fourth on the day was Northern stalwart Pete Werakso implementing his favourite topkit and caster tactic for 14kg 150g(31lb 3oz) from his farbank swim.

Day 3 The biggest Roach bag of the week from Odlham's Chris Davies wrenched the scale's needle round to 22kg 125g(48lb 12oz), a sublime display of speed fishing mosty at top kit range on caster in the Lodgebank Shallows.
Adam Palmer brought some military discipline to the Roach party whipping 18.225kg(40lb 3oz)into the sproutsack, a 120 fish first hour paving the way, fishing at 3to 4m alternating maggot and caster hookbaits at his lodgebank swim.
Despite hurricane Dolly raging in the adjacent peg recherché Professor of Roachology Tony Goodland claimed 3rd place weighing 17kg 300g(38lb 2oz)..I say 17kg 300g of Rutilus Rutilus The bespectacled boffin grafted at 3 and 4m with caster and maggot hookbaits.
England man Des Shipp smashed and grabbed 4th place with a farbank display of high class polemanship landing 16kg 625g(36lb 9oz)of quality Roach fishing at 10m with Hempseed.

Day 4 proved ,once again, how unpredictable matchfishing can be and how foolish the actions of last day stayaways.
Rob Birch has absolutely annihilated the field with 24 far bank Bream for an amazing 45kg 175g(99lb 10oz), only a cracking 21kg 225g(48lb 13oz) Lodgebank Roach bag by long-haired lout Steve Kedge kept him out the overall frame -by a kilo!
Tony Goodland claimed third spot on the day with another fine whip performance from a far, far bank peg with 19kg 775g(43lb 9oz).
Dave Brewer made up the final day frame with a scorching performance from the unfancied peg 1 by the lodge bank race hut conjuring 18kg 575g(40lb 14oz) of Bream on an open end feeder and worm.

MATRIX DURLEIGH FESTIVAL 2022

This year's festy will follow same format as last year. A SECTION draw will take place in the shop on Saturday which will determine contestant's section and ROTATION. The four sections are as follows : A and B will be on Durleigh's Lodge Bank ,C is Durleigh Far Bank and D is Dunwear Senior Pond.
The DRAW each morning will take place at Weatherspoons(The Carnival Inn) St Marys St ,Bridgwater TA6 3LY at 9am. Breakfast available from 8am. FISHING TIMES 11.30am-5.30pm
Given recent weather conditions could contestants please ensure they have a minimum of 2 keepnets.
Rules on Dunwear are very similar to Durleigh so barbed hooks are permitted and there are no rig restrictions. If you need clarity please visit BAA website.

MATRIX DURLEIGH FESTIVAL 2022

Tues Aug 30-Fri Sept 2 inclusive.

This years festival will be sponsored by Matrix Match to the tune of £1200 ! This includes an XR36 Competition seatbox and a Duralite Transporter(Platform /Barrow)👏👏👏

Levels are still up on the reservior so this years extra section will be at Dunwear senior pond. Three sections on Durleigh, one on Dunwear fished in rotation.
Dunwear, a rarely matchfished wate,r is capable of producing some huge weights of Bream along with Tench and some big Carp, but no-one knows how it will react under match conditions.

Those anglers who fished last year get first dibs so please contact me in the shop to arrange entry fee payment(£90) or let me know if your not fishing.
