The Cobb, Lyme's iconic curved harbour wall has protected the town for generations and a walk to the end is a must when you visit Lyme Regis.
Located on the Cobb is Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium where you'll find lots of local marine life on display and you'll get an opportunity to hand feed the mullet and hold a starfish.
Heading back into town, Lyme Regis Museum is another must visit attraction with an abundance of information and artefacts on display including local history and fossils plus you can follow in the footsteps of Lyme's famous fossil hunter Mary Anning with a guided fossil walk led by one the the museum's experts.
Once you've finished at the Museum, cross Bridge Street and head down Coombe Street for a bit of shopping before visiting Lyme's hidden gem - The Town Mill. Learn all about the art of flour milling with a free guided tour by one of the millers and see the working water wheel in action.
Head back to the seafront to Lyme Regis Amusements where there's plenty to keep you amused from slot machines to all action air hockey and games of skill to fun rides geared towards younger visitors.
For refreshments, try contemporary cafe Beach & Badger which boasts great food and spectacular views, Roasted & Toasted in Drakes Way, The Harbour Inn, Lyme Regis or The Oyster and Fish House which both have locally caught fish and seafood in abundance on the menu and Herbies Lyme Regis for fantastic takeaway fish and chips. Finish it off with a cocktail from Black Cow Saloon Black Cow Vodka in Broad Street.
