"Darren and his colleagues couldn't be more helpful. I wanted to add my own special touch to the piece and Darren has allowed me to store the art until I could come back down. I've also decided to have it delivered and he was extremely helpful about another piece I need to hang. If you ever have some time to wander in, you'll be in for a treat by the art and the service" -👏

Mid-week reminder by Mr Brainwash 💥 Life Is Beautiful. Photographed by the legendary Chris Duffy. We have a full collection of Mr Brainwash images, so keep your eyes out as we post them over the next few weeks.

For now, you know what to do...DM us if you want first dibs 🤘

Who is Duffy? During the 80’s Chris worked as one of the top music photographers (Bowie/Adam Ant/Steve Strange/Sade/Spandau etc.) as well as numerous other commissions covering a wide range of genres. Chris later moved into shooting moving images forming a film production company with his father Brian Duffy and were successful shooting both commercials and pop promos. Chris moved to LA in the early 90's working as a director of photography and in 1997 was drawn back to the energy and creativity of London riding high on the wave of ‘Cool Britannia’.

Over the years Chris had discussed with his father Duffy about looking back at his work and creating an archive however it wasn't until 2005 when Duffy was diagnosed with a degenerative lung disease that together they started sifting through all of Duffy’s remaining photographic material. This process of sorting, logging, scanning and printing took three years and in 2009 the Duffy Archive was finally launched. Interest in Duffy's work has grew exponentially and Chris stepped back from his own commercial work to dedicate himself to running the archive full time.

Get ready for a collaboration that’s straight out of a Hollywood dream! Even if beauty isn’t normally your thing (though it should be—Louise here, and as a beauty marketing pro, I might be a tad biased. 😉 Although, even Darren can’t resist a massage at LHB, ha!), you’ll want to keep reading because something truly fabulous is about to happen...

We’ve teamed up with The Lanes Health & Beauty—Brighton’s ultimate haven for all things glamorous. This isn’t just any salon; LHB is a dazzling destination where every visit turns into a memory! Situated in the heart of Brighton’s historic Lanes, LHB is surrounded by the city’s hottest spots—from chic cocktail bars to trendy boutiques, and just steps away from the iconic Brighton beach promenade.

But it’s not just about beauty treatments (though they do offer the most luxurious ones around—think red carpet nails, flawless brows, and world-class skin and body care). LHB also showcases stunning artwork from our collection, bringing a touch of art-world glamour to your beauty experience.

And here’s the exciting twist: they’re about to unveil two brand new art pieces in the salon next week. Keep your eyes on both of our feeds for a glamorous surprise you won’t want to miss. (Hint: You might even get a chance to win a piece of art… but we’re keeping the details under wraps for now! 😉)

At LHB, every treatment is delivered by top-tier therapists, making sure you walk out feeling like a Hollywood star—without breaking the bank.

Stay tuned 👀 🥂 and in the mean time get your nails done 💅

Stepping into a new week in style..Dior, Gucci, Chanel, Hermes kinda style....Kate Moss Haute Couture 1 is a true pop gem crafted by the ledgendary American Pop Artist Agent X. Available as both an original and print as featured here, his stunning mash-up mixed media artwork is primarily self-developed but compliments his formal art training at the Art Institute of Vancouver, Canada.

Agent X often combines the ephemera of the past with the glossy world of contemporary magazines and newspapers, adding paint and other mixed media to create images that cleverly critique humanity’s current obsessions and where they are leading us. While presenting a contemporary, urban veneer in his work through influences of music and fashion, sub-layers of his work dive into loaded socio-political subject matter.

Available to view in the gallery now and online via link in bio.

2 years 💔😢 but never forgotton. Today marks two years since the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. It's not the same without you but we will always hold a special place for you in our hearts.

Never released before, this stunning shot was taken by Brian Aris during a shoot for the official celebrations of The Queen's 70th birthday in 1996 and captures her in a rare candid moment of laughter (swipe for more 🤩)

Brian recalls 'At one point the large format camera I was using slipped off its tripod. Patrick managed to catch it just in time and handed it to me, saying: "That's not the thing to do, Mr Aris." This caused Her Majesty to burst out laughing, which helped to break the ice. And at the same time I had the presence of mind and was quick enough to fire off a couple of shots with the camera that had almost ended up on the floor - and the picture on the right is the result."

DM us if you would like to reserve one of these very special images 👑

It's exhibition day in Southampton with Local Artist MS11. Friday, September 6th, step into a world of vibrant creativity as we introduce the electrifying graffiti pop artist MS11—better known as Marky—at the launch of his brand-new collection, “Art @ The Arms.” Join him at The Southampton Arms in West End from 5-8pm for an evening that promises to ignite your imagination and showcase art like you’ve never seen before.

Scroll through to see some of his new collection 👉

Marky is not just an artist; he’s a force of nature. A long-time client of Labyrinth Gallery in Brighton, he has forged his own unique path in the art world. We couldn’t be prouder to support him on this exciting journey, and we’re thrilled to share his story with you.

Marky's journey began in the streets of Bristol, where he first picked up a brush as a teenager. But it wasn’t until a fateful visit to a Brighton gallery that his passion for painting truly came alive. After reigniting his creative fire two years ago, he quickly gained traction in the art world. His 2023 exhibition in Southampton was a complete sell-out, turning what was once a hobby into a full-blown artistic obsession.

Growing up wasn’t easy, but through every brushstroke of his vibrant “trash” art, he’s found a way to brighten not just rooms, but hearts. Each piece is a burst of colour and emotion, a testament to his belief that art has the power to transform even the darkest times.

Get ready to be inspired, uplifted, and totally captivated by his latest collection. Join us in celebrating this incredible journey—because when his art brightens your world, everyone wins!

Join Marky this Friday 6th September to celebrate his incredible journey and maybe even take home a piece of his extraordinary work.

Venue: The Southampton Arms, West End
Date: Friday, September 6th
Time: 5-8pm

P.s don't forget to give Marky a follow

Today we are celebrating Freddie Mercury 🎉 5th September1946 a legend was born. Gone to early but always celebrated, loved and cherished by many. One of our favourite icons, Freddie is featured here in one of our most captivating neon artworks.

This masterpiece encapsulates the essence of Freddie Mercury’s magnum opus, “Bohemian Rhapsody” – a pop symphony that resonates as one of the most iconic melodies in popular culture. The artwork transports you to a tempestuous realm, where the enigmatic spirit of Freddie Mercury takes center stage.

In the midst of a maelstrom, Freddie’s image materializes, his commanding presence illuminated by lightning bolts that crackle in the turbulent skies. These bolts of energy reflect the electrifying creative energy of the legendary song that lies at the heart of Freddie’s legacy.

Pay close attention and the artwork invites you to embark on a visual journey that celebrates the intricacies of “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Intertwined within this tempestuous scene, you’ll discover an array of symbolic nods to the song with visual clues that effortlessly merge with the storm’s turmoil: A sketch by Galileo and an 18th Century couple dancing the fandango right through the tempest, mirroring the harmonious chaos of the song.

The centrepiece of this spectacle is beautiful scripted neon lights which proudly declares the band’s name – Queen. The juxtaposition of the dictionary definition of “Bohemian” above the neon encapsulates the visionary essence of Freddie Mercury himself and the legendary anthem he birthed.

(For confirmation of the Edition number, please contact the Gallery for further information).
