This is a good demonstration of the first 14 of the nage no kata (Fujimoto sensei is tori).
Tori’s ability to be dynamic depends on uke’s ability to cope with that dynamism.
So our challenge as aikido players is to work on and improve our uke as well as our tori skill.

Sussex Aikido
We practice the Shodokan style of Aikido, sometimes known as 'sport Aikido' or 'Tomiki Aikido'. Although there are varying styles of Aikido througout the world, the basic principles are the same. The force of any attack is controlled and diffused without injury to either instigator or defender. This is achieved by using avoidance and balance breaking followed, if necessary, by techniques including a range of locks and throws.
We have instructors who coach at national and international level and students of all ages. All coaches and admins are volunteers and we keep training costs to a minimum. First taster class is always free. Juniors and adults welcome.
Classes run at Falmer Sports Centre, University of Brighton (by the Amex Football Stadium),Mondays 7-8pm,Wednesdays 6-8pm and Saturdays 9-11am (Juniors 9-10am);and at Davison Leisure Centre, East Worthing, Thursdays 8-9.30pm.
