The highlight of our bank holiday weekend! We had the pleasure of being invited to one of our dearest patient’s, courtesy of her equally wonderful family, 100th birthday! This fantastic milestone was made even better by the company of some familiar team members and warm hospitality; it was such a lovely catch - up and amazing to see a card from the King!

🛠 Practice Works!

The slow but steady improvements are the practice are now starting to take hold.

So far, the carpets have gone, and the repaint has started. Behind the scenes, lots of servicing and equipment replacement are going on, too. Access to the drive in front has also taken place so that everyone can drive in that bit easier.
Some of the furniture has also found a new home.

We look forward to being ready in early summer.

Hello everyone and we hope this message finds you well.

First of all, we wanted to send this note to let you all know that the practice is now in the process of a measured and steady reopening, following its closure at the start of the year. We understand how
anxious many patients will have become with their dental care, particularly after being
so well looked after by Pieter over many years.

We would very much appreciate your patience as we begin restarting services there and, in the coming few weeks, we will be putting out more information to help those of you who still would like to find out more about the practice and (hopefully!!) return.

In the meantime, we really do appreciate your patience, as we place mechanisms in for you to reach out to us, whatever your query may be, so that we may start to help and reassure you. ♥️

Both Jignasha and I look forward to welcoming you back to your practice (hopefully with one or two familiar faces in tow), which we also fell in love with the moment we walked in last year. It was a place that gave out a real feeling of warmth and community, whilst providing the very best dental care with Pieter.

We hope to start to restore lines of communication for you all in the coming week or so and are
so grateful for your patience as we re-establish this and begin, what we hope, will be our new journey with you all this year in this wonderful part of Sussex. 🌳

Job description

Concordia Dental is a private dental clinic with two locations in Sussex (East Grinstead and Hove), we offer a high standard of dentistry including Orthodontics, Cosmetic Dental Treatments and General Dentistry. Our primary concern is the retention of natural healthy teeth, we focus on preventative dentistry and aim to maintain beautiful healthy smiles

We are looking for a fully qualified GDC registered Dental Nurse or a person who would like to train to become a dental nurse and join our small team of dedicated staff who are passionate about providing the best care to all of our patients. You will work closely with our team of qualified dentists and friendly staff to ensure dental sessions run as smoothly as possible.

The Dental nurse duties will include preparing and maintaining the clinical environment, keeping high standards of infection control and providing excellent support and guidance to patients during treatment. Ideally the candidate will be flexible to travel, you will predominantly be working from our East Grinstead Practice but will be required to work in our Hove practice occasionally.

What the role requires:

· strong communication skills

· positive and enthusiastic with a great patient focus

· provide clinical chair-side support to dentists

· keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate according to the practice’s health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers' instructions

· handle all substances in accordance with health and safety policies

· Comply with all health and safety rules and guidance, including PPE, COSHH, mercury handling, infection control, waste disposal etc

· ensure adequate stocks of materials and other items within the surgery

· attend and participate in practice meetings

· attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR

· act in accordance with the practice rules and code of conduct

· You will predominantly be working from our East Grinstead Practice but we will require the candidate to be able to travel in order to work at our Hove practice when required (approx. 1 day per week, travel and parking costs will be covered)

· be motivated, organised and a good communicator who thrives upon maintaining high standards and promoting our values

· have your own initiative and be able to work as part of a team, be reliable and have a flexible approach

· be constantly looking to develop and improve, to share knowledge and to always put patients first

· We will train you to work on reception so that you are able to cover all roles within the practice, strong communication skills are essential

Full-Time or Part-Time Hours Negotiable - 20-40 per week

Job Types: Full-time or Part-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship available if required

Pay: Negotiable depending on experience, if we take you on as an apprentice course costs will be covered by the practice and an apprentice wage will apply.

Key responsibilities & duties

To provide a friendly and welcoming service to our loyal regular attenders for 3/12, 4/12 and 6/12 maintenance visits. The position is to work without nursing support, but some decontamination support will be provided where possible. Air extraction fans are fitted in surgery to allow for AGP appointments to be completed.
Duties will include preparing and maintaining the clinical environment, keeping high standards of infection control and providing a high standard of patient care.

What the role requires:
minimum 1 year experience
· strong communication skills
· positive and enthusiastic with a great patient focus

Job Type: Part-time (days and hours negotiable), Permanent
Salary: Negotiable
