We’ve got availability for lunch and dinner today, and lunchtime availability tomorrow.
Creedy Carver duck breast, Roscoff onion, parsnip purée, blackberries and broccoli.
It’s very, very tasty.
Raspberries and meringue
Raspberry sorbet, pickled raspberries and raspberry purée, with meringue and garden mint.
Lamb sweetbreads, Jerusalem artichoke purée, hen of the woods, peas, lardons, radishes, PX jus.
Featuring on the specials this weekend.
Rich and gooey chocolate tart, candied pecans and crème fraîche ice cream. It’s on all weekend.
Whole mackerel, cooked over fire, with bone marrow onions, tomato concasse, chimichurri and padron peppers.
We’re fully booked for dinner this weekend, but have a few lunch spots tomorrow and Sunday.
The juiciest, tenderest, lamb rump with potato terrine, purple sprouting broccoli and caponata.

Hand dived XL Barra Island scallop with orange, fennel and scallop skirt velouté, chicken thigh, crispy chicken skin and pickled fennel.

Our Story
Caper and Cure is an independent restaurant and bar on the corner of Stokes Croft and Montpellier. We strive to deliver delicious food from our seasonally changing menu and offer the best local and organic ingredients we can get our hands on. Our drinks list has been carefully selected to offer a wide range of beverages from local suppliers, which you can enjoy in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Brunch and lunch are served during the weekdays with items from the menu or from the daily offering on the counter. Brunch is from 10am on the weekend - with our roast starting at 1:30pm on Sunday. We open for dinner at 6pm, Wednesday – Saturday.
We offer private dining in our function room downstairs and the banquet table can seat up to 18 (a few more can be squeezed in if needed). The room is also available to hire for parties, functions or as a general meeting space (projector and PA available upon request). When we can, we also run events downstairs and open up the bar for evening cocktail consumption.
108 Stokes Croft. ‘Tucketts Buildings’, started life as a grocery and provisions store in the 1890’s, and the building was split up in the 1920’s and 108a became a ‘cash chemists’ where one could go for their ‘remedies and cures’ without prescription. Since then, the shop at 108a has been an electrical supplier, an internet café, and more recently a café and music venue. The basement has, apparently, always been host to shenanigans, japes and capers.
