Pipe And Slippers

It’s been a bit of a transitional year for us with the Pipe kitchen this year. Having said farewell to Smoke and Glaze after many happily married years together, we had a few pop ups come through for short spells, but we really wanted to settle down again.

came through in the summer for a month, and we really liked the cut of their BBQ gib. We all got on well, the food is banging, it feels like a good fit, so now they’re back for a more extended stay at The Pipe every Tuesday to Saturday ❤️

Having had a couple of weeks to get their feet back under the table and settle in, we decided we wanted to throw a bit of a bash to celebrate their relaunch. And so we invite you all to BBQ, Beers and Hip Hop* at The Pipe on Wednesday 25th September!!

(*we’re well aware that BBQ, Beers and Beats rolls off the tongue better, but it’s also a bit fu***ng cheesy so we’re sticking with this one)

There’s gonna be some ridiculous deals on the food and beers, and we’ve got playing old school hip hop all evening. 5pm onwards, food until 9pm, tunes until Simmo gets too drunk to play any more (or falls asleep on the decks…), come along and get stuck in 💪😀❤️

Straight from the back of playing Pikes Ibiza earlier this week, and will be rolling through today and tomorrow, before turns up Saturday, and then a very special guest will be joining us Sunday evening for a bit of a funday. Keep an eye out for the announcement on Saturday evening...

We are well chuffed to say that has returned as our in-house kitchen!

After popping by for a short stint earlier this summer, we (and more importantly you) were so impressed with their BBQ offerings that we just had to get them back in for a longer run - so after they were done smashing out festivals and some medieval events, they were also keen to call us their new Bristol home. Come down and try their amazing burgers, wings, sauces and veggie/vegan grub from Tuesday - Saturday 👌

We had a little glitch on our website but it's been fixed now - so you can head there to book in for a Sunday roast again! Or if you prefer give us a call during opening hours, or pop in and say hello in person ☺️

Details on when will be returning to our kitchen to be announced very soon - we could returning to lovely nights of Ollie feeding Joe like this by next week...

After receiving a red card and serving a suspension from the decks for some interesting 'artistic expressions' on the mic during his last set (actually we didn't even give him a mic, he used his headphones), Simply is being allowed back behind the decks...

But which version of him will turn up? The well behaved Welsh selector we all know and love? Or will he revert back to the flame-shirt wearing, Elvis singing tearaway from his youth? Come down Thursday to find out. For the rest of the weekend we have the Hunz supergroup, Fantastic Voyage and then a return to Sunday guests with R Kev!

Summer is finally summering - but if it gets a little too hot out there then we can offer some shade in our seated porch or inside, and of course the best cocktails pint selection and needless chat 💪

We've had so many DJs and genres played through our humble doors over the years, and this weekend is no different. Expect everything from soul, disco and jazz to house, garage and hip hop (and everything in-between) from our 3 DJs from tonight...

So 's 4 week pop up ended up becoming 5 weeks, but has now sadly come to an end. The food was absolutely top drawer, we miss it already. If you missed out, well, that’s for you to live with.

We all got on so well and the food went down a storm so we’ve decided we want to make the relationship more permanent 💞

They have had to nip off for a bit due to long-standing commitments at festivals that will take up most of the next few weeks, but we are hoping to welcome them back in as our permanent kitchen resident towards the end of August, where they will be operating in house, for takeaway and on online delivery platforms.

We’ll update with an exact relaunch date when we have it confirmed, but if you didn’t make it down last month and were kicking yourself for it, you can now un-kick yourself and wait salivating patiently for their return in a few weeks time.

Bring those Cheeky Bon Bons back on! 🤤

You are on borrowed time to come and try during their 1st stint with us - you have until Saturday to swing by and try their on-point BBQ'ed grub. Word is getting around about it and it feels like it's starting to bubble up between our regulars, passers-by and their own following here - it might be a bit too early to use the word cult following but... 👀

That's why we are hyped to say that it won't be long before they are back with us! They have some pre-arranged festival and fieldwork to finish up during the rest of summer, but we hope to see them back late August sometime. Keep your eyes peeled and get down in the next few days to see what all of the fuss is about.

Meet Duke, the genius behind the banging flavours of which have gone down a storm since popping up in our kitchen a few weeks ago.

However you only have until the 13th July, so just over a week, to come in and give their burgers, wings and other BBQ'ed goods a go. We cannot express enough how you don't want to miss out on tasting these goods - and we recommended doing so soon as we bet you will want to come back in before they close to give it another try...

Don't feel bad for not being at Glastonbury - there are still some DJs left in Bristol and they don't have Pipedreams over there.
