Bomboloni Italian Kitchen

It is with a heavy heart, that as of today, I have made the decision to close Bomboloni. There are many reasons for this, firstly having a health scare earlier in the year. There are also other factors of course, such as staffing and absolutely sky rocketing bills. I have given Bomboloni everything since Andrew died, now it’s time for me.
you have been my constant support throughout and the respect I have for you is immeasurable, thank you is not enough.
I will forever cherish the time we have worked together, you have helped me in ways you will never know.
A huge thank you to each and every member of our bomboloni family over the past 5 years, you have all helped to shape us, especially .atkoceviciute Tom Griffin & liv (who I can’t add).
Without the support of our wonderful customers we would never of lasted this long, so thank you to each and everyone of you that have eaten with us.

Spiced apple & bran cake on the counter this weekend (relatively healthy as it’s bran and one of your 5 or is it now 10 a day? 🤷‍♀️), anyway it’s delicious.

Wishing my gorgeous a wonderful 22nd birthday. Thank you for helping out, making us laugh and for just being the caring, sensitive soul you are during this very eventful summer. We have loved having you back working with us. Back to Southampton soon for your final year at Uni, go smash it, work hard, enjoy and make memories my beauty 💗💗💕💕

Bomboloni this week are full of blackberry, apple, cream & mascarpone 😋

Big Bombo’s are back this week. It feels very autumnal, so we thought we would start with apple jam, mascarpone & cinnamon.

Wishing this little beauty a wonderful 20th birthday. So very proud to be your mummy, you inspire me to do better and be a kinder person every day. We really do miss you working with us, but know you are enjoying flying high🛩. Love team bomboloni 💕💕💕

Two of our favourite customers Alan and Hilary promised a crown for being amazing and they delivered 👑👑👑. These two have been regulars since we opened 5 years ago, they come at least twice a week for coffee or lunch with friends and are our greatest supporters. Happy 85th birthday Alan, hope you enjoy your cake 🧡🧡.

Pasta free courgette lasagne, layered with local ricotta, mascarpone, lemon & basil & tomato, fresh from the oven, on the lunch menu this week. Perfect if you fancy something a little lighter.

Lunch has started, think it’s a pizza and Grilled prawn kind of day 🌞🌞 Speck, cherry vine tomato, red onion, smoked sweet chilli and mozzarella pizza 🥰 👏👏

No big Bombo’s this week, as it’s too hot for them. So instead this is our take on the Sicilian Gelato con Brioche, bomboloni, dark chocolate sauce & vanilla ice cream and perfect to eat in the sunshine. Must be good the Italian said “it’s good considering your an English woman😂!”.

New on the menu from this weekend, homemade granola ( hazelnuts, apricots, sunflower, pumpkin seeds, sour cherries, figs) Greek yoghurt, honey and blackberries 👏 from 9.30am

The most delicious courgette, pea, mint & ricotta frittata on the counter today. Come and pick up a slice with some salads on the way to the park.

Who doesn’t love rhubarb & custard ? With an added bonus of hazelnut brittle 😋

Our Saturday evening openings have proved very popular. This dark chocolate and hazelnut torte from Saturday was a best seller.
