Hello everyone the sustainability officer, social media manager, and the president just had a team meeting where we discussed possible ideas for the semester.
We are very excited to start contributing to the Greener Futures group with our ideas and challenge attempts.
We also want to see if we can collaborate with a few other societies this semester.
We also wish to start holding more frequent debates and meetings to discuss current affairs or any other topic of your choosing!

Originally in the first semester, we planned for our meetings to start at 5pm every fortnight. So within next week, we will create a poll asking a few questions to all our members. We have also added all of the new ideas to our Google document outlining plans for this semester.

We hope everyone is keeping well and we would like to see you all soon in a new Teams meeting.

Edit: There might be a problem with the nomination process for the media officer so we have contacted the SU to fix this. If not it may be a voting problem as there is no posts for media yet. We were told in our set up email yesterday that they had reopened nominations.

Voting closes at 9am tomorrow for the online election for our VP.

Just a quick post about memberships and standing in this election.

The "no membership to purchase" message will be displayed on the economics page of you are not logged on with the SU page.

Just go to sign in and click current student and enter your UWE network details.

From this you can add the FREE economics society membership to basket to check out.

There is a £1.50 fee if anyone hasn't already joined a society yet this year as it's SU one off which covers all societies that are joined.

There are steps online foe the next of kin too if that is needed still so that a membership can be checked out.

UWE helped us out and sent out a blackboard message. You have until 9 am tomorrow which is plenty of time to stand.
I am president of debating too so would like to have lots of collabs and external speaker events this year.
The best way for this to happen is standing as our VP so we have a the required committee to continue next year!
