Facebook Live in 10 Minutes - Bouffon & The Patriarchy with Hambrook and I! Here
After giving birth to a baby, I’m returning to working on theatre, stories & workshops, beginning with SHORT stints of working hours. Take a look at my BLOG POST, "M/OTHERING & LIVING THEATRE", on my website (www.deborahantoinette.org/blog)
I’ve chosen a photo of me performing as Frida Kahlo for this post as devising with this real ‘character’ brings me a sense of creativity as an act of sensual, life-affirming, civil disobedience.
Info coming soon on upcoming WORKSHOPS & events.

This is her post (I couldn't FB share it directly)
Instead of a blog I thought I would experiment with starting a new thread here. One that is a counterpoint to Shand's wonderful Making Mondays. I am going to call it 'Offloading Fridays' (even though I am starting it off on a Thursday evening!).
I hope it is a space to set down, briefly, all that you are holding. Or at least some of it. It's what I feel I need right now. Just to be witnessed in the soupy mess of stuff. It relates to a blog I wrote over a year ago now called 'All That We Carry': https://matildainmotion.tumblr.com/post/663599102424186881/all-that-we-carry-and-the-launch-of-the-mwm-peer
The question is simply this:
What are you carrying right now?
What would it help you to set down, here, for a moment?
To an extent this is the point of all social media - to be able to share this, but it is the point of MWM, in particular - to consciously witness/ see each other. It's a powerful thing. It's so simple. And it's transformative.
So - it's nearly Friday - please feel free to offload your list here.
I'll start.....(see below)
Oh, and there is only one rule to this thread - it's not a competition as to who is carrying the most. No one can know how heavy something is. Sometimes a teaspoon is too much to carry.
All That We Carry - and the launch of the MWM Peer Mentoring Programme. Image by Zoe Gardner “How are you?” “Oh, you know, surviving,” I say. Or “Taking it a day at a time.” Or “Just about upright!” Or sometimes I say nothing but describe a hilly landscape...

Devoted & Disgruntled 2023: What are we going to do about theatre and the performing arts? - 14/01/2023 10:00:00 Our annual unconventional convention for everyone involved in theatre and the performing arts, back in-person for a one-day event to kick off 2023.
I highly recommend Roshnii's facilitation - the writing techniques she shares deepen our relationship with our own creative spirit!
Something happened when I first read Kay Adams' book, Journal to the Self over a decade ago. Firstly, my heart was utterly warmed and every cell of my being hummed as her eclectic and empowering approach resonated so deeply with me.
Secondly, I was blown away by the incredible potency of the journaling tools that she had collated - some of her own invention, others inspired by respected sources, such as Dr. Ira Progoff, founder for the Intensive Journal Method.
In the Journal to the Self 6 week course, which was devised by Kay Adams, who inspired me all those years ago, you can try out all 18 of the journaling techniques in the supportive environment of an intimate group.
And, for the next few days, I am offering you the opportunity to share this course with a loved one for free.
Sign up before midnight on Weds 21st to claim a free place for a friend, partner or family member.

The site will aim to open to the public in April 2023 with the ambition of running this pilot initiative for at least six months. The vision is to create a vibrant, positive venue where local people and visitors can shop, recycle, and explore what a greener, fairer and creative future could look like, breathing new life into the old M&S building on a ‘meanwhile use’ basis until the site is redeveloped.
