Helen’s (aka Poppy Bubbles!) two work worlds collided on Monday, as she created a Jessie Cat balloon for her colleague, mentor and friend Original Helen (Helen Hill) to mark her retirement as a Sing and Sign teacher after 21 years of teaching families in Bristol. All the teachers from Sing and Sign - Bristol and East Bristol Sing and Sign met her to mark the end of her last class.

Another fantastic day on Sunday at Farrington’s Farm Kids Fest, working on behalf of Bubbly Heaven. Even Bluey and Bingo from Special Occasion mascots were enjoying the bubbles!

What a brilliant day we had at Farrington’s Farm Kids Fest on behalf of Bubbly Heaven! Despite the gusty winds, lots of families and friends had an amazing day, especially with all of the BUBBLES! And maybe Bluey and Bingo too!

Flashback February! This was from back in the balmy days of last August at The Bear & Swan when I was face painting at one of their wonderful family fun days. I met some amazing families, including one kid who kept coming back for more and more small additions to their arm, until they ended up with a whole sleeve!

Back in September we attended South West Ballooniversity UK annual balloon lecture. It’s such a fun day, and I’m already looking forward to this year! For one of the activities we were challenged to make our regular models using different sized balloons, so here is my supersized monkey on a tree!

Flashback February! We often forget to post pictures of work we have done, so we’re going to add some additional pictures through the quiet month of February, starting with this one.

We were requested a Minecraft theme, so we made a classic creeper, with a sheep and pig to play with. As it was for a party, we also made pickaxes and swords for each kid to take a balloon home after the party. The client’s feedback? “Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Loved them and the kids loved these [party favours]!” Delivery was included to the party venue and the staff working at Bloc Climbing Centre seemed very surprised to see all these balloons coming in the door!

We had a brilliant time today making balloons and face painting for Portia baby shower. Fun for kids and the young at heart!

Happy Halloween! Instead of carving pumpkins, we inflated them instead!

A lovely day working in Cheltenham for Cheltenham BID on behalf of Little Party Heaven - Entertainers & Animals making balloons! It was very busy, so I only had time for a few pictures.

The event was celebrating Cheltenham Food and Drink Week. I was lucky enough to have a fantastic vegetarian all-day breakfast and the best raspberry lemonade I have ever tasted WoodKraft for lunch. I will definitely be going back there next time I’m in Cheltenham 😋

Although we are always delighted to travel to wherever we are needed, it’s also lovely when the event is taking place just down the road! A huge happy birthday to A, who had a Mario themed party. There were lots of excited guests, so the face painting had to be speedy. The giant bubbles were also very popular, and I love that I captured this photo which looks to me like a bubble face!

The birthday cake was by IrinasCakes and I was very fortunate to have a little taste, as it was delicious.

It was also great to meet AW Inflatables Bouncy castle hire, who provided a really exciting-looking obstacle course/giant slide/bouncy castle inflatable. I’m not sure what the technical name for it is, I just know that the kids were loving it!

At the The Bear and Swan, Chew Magna offering free face painting today from 2pm-5pm. Come and have a drink or two, some great food and get your face, arm or hand painted!

A lovely day at Link Centre face painting on behalf of Angelart Face Painting & Glitter Tattoos . The kids were enjoying giving me some challenges, including Jean-Luc from Bluey (if you don’t know what Bluey is, ask anyone under 10!).

We had a lovely time today, bubbling and ballooning at Over Farm, Gloucester on behalf of Bubbly Heaven - Sensory Bubble Therapy. It was quite quiet as it was a rainy day in Gloucestershire but the intrepid visitors that did brave the weather all seemed to have a great time! It was also really lovely to go and see the animals during lunchtime.

We had an amazing day today Farrington’s Farm bubbling on behalf of Bubbly Heaven - Sensory Bubble Therapy . It was very windy, so no giant bubbles were really possible, but it was fantastic for lots and lots of small, fast bubbles! It was also lovely to meet Polly's Fab Faces and SuperPirates who were doing brilliant work entertaining all the visitors.

We had a brilliant time face painting The Bear & Swan in Chew Magna for their family fun day yesterday. We met some lovely families and we really enjoyed the friendly, relaxed pub atmosphere. I was asked for some unusual designs including Venom, Mario, and a 2-part best friends design that was really fun to create.

Their outdoor bar had a pizza oven that was producing amazing looking and smelling pizzas: sadly I didn’t have time to have one yesterday, but I will definitely be trying one next time I’m there!

One of the great things about this job is visiting places that you’ve never been before. We were bubbling and painting for T’s birthday party last weekend: I was so busy that I only had time to take one pic at the party, and one on the way home! We had a lovely time, with lots of faces painted as unicorns!

On Sunday we were working on behalf of Angelart Face Painting & Glitter Tattoos at the Coronation Spring Fayre in Wellington, Somerset. It was very busy, with a lovely atmosphere and fantastic families. Friends of Wellington Park

What a busy Bank Holiday weekend. I hope you all had fun? On Saturday, we were delighted to be bubbling for A’s housewarming and M’s 2nd birthday party combined. The rain stayed away and we had some wonderful, bubbly fun! A huge thank you to Yvonne at Sing and Sign - Weston super Mare & Clevedon for taking the photos!

We had a brilliant day in John Lewis Cheltenham working on behalf of Little Party Heaven - Entertainers & Animals making balloons as part of their family fun weekend.

It was also fantastic to meet Captain Crabstick and Fairy Harmony from Fancy Entertainment and encourage some dancing challenges set by some of the visiting kids!

A floral thank-you gift for the amazing staff at Elmtree Learning Partnership from one of the Sing and Sign - Weston super Mare & Clevedon teachers. It’s been a great first term teaching at this friendly venue.

Roar-some birthday wishes to L! The person ordering it requested this: “so theme wise, skateboarding (skateboard is L’s present), roller skating and dinosaurs still”, so it had to be a skateboarding dinosaur! I also included two baby dinos hatching out of balloon eggs as a playable element. The main dinosaur was inspired by a design from Eric at The Balloon Guys This was SUCH a fun one to make, and made me smile all day. What is your favourite dinosaur? Let me know in the comments. Mine is either a Triceratops or an Ankylosaurus.

A last minute gift for B’s birthday. B loves hamsters, so a quick YouTube tutorial by Balloon Art Mania S later and voila! I love how cute these kawaii hamsters turned out.

I was delighted to paint ‘C’ for her Halloween Birthday party on behalf of Bubbly Heaven and then put her and her guests inside a bubble!

We had so much fun yesterday working for Face In A Crowd at the new catalogue launch Smyths Toys Superstores in Exeter. I was delighted and slightly starstruck to find out that I was painting alongside face-painting superstar and absolutely lovely human Karen Huwen of Wow Factor Faces and Grown Up Glitz. We were expertly entertained by Shakey’s Disco. The T-Rex design was inexpertly based on a fantastic Nick Wolfe design. The orange dragon was inspired by the book Zog by Julia Donaldson.
