I'm sharing this picture of Jan Jones from the Wales Masters Ladies Hockey 60+ team match against BAC Ladies Hockey Club last Sunday even though it's as much a as it is a . Or at least imho. The alert and intense focus of her gaze is absolutely beyond doubt; she is 100% ready for action. I think the way she dominates and occupies the frame makes this equally a portrait shot - haha you can tell I've just given a talk at a photography club (thank you again Bristol Photographic Society!) as I'm suddenly self-conscious about the nuts and bolts of my technique. And there's one detail I wish I could change which hopefully only the photographers among you will notice (teaser, eh? and it's nothing to do with Jan, of course, who I think looks beautiful and wonderful). It's her luminous presence that makes me want to share the image so I hope she enjoys it as well as the rest of you🏑🌻

Playing sport really does put you in the Now: you absolutely have to focus 100% mentally, physically and emotionally out on the pitch (or track, or in the field or pool) when it's competition time. Sian Trottman exemplifies this in the fiercely fought Wales Masters Ladies Hockey 60+ match they played last Sunday against a great team from BAC Ladies Hockey Club. I'm so happy to have discovered the skilled and joyful world of (or as you call it on the other side of the pond). Thanks so much for inviting me to be there, Welsh Ladies 🙏😊You were all fab. Meanwhile, Go, Sian! 👏🏑

After roughly a week, we all managed to use the car parking App and park, we then managed to find Briony 🍆 to get her to the (unmissable & viewable from the moon) building!

The sun was shining and with a small tinker with formation BAC were ready to go…

TBB were a bit more ready 3 mins Bath 1-0 😩
Tinny pulls one back in spectacular fashion. 1-1 🔥🏑☄️
Sun came out and Liz felt faint. 🥵
