I have retired from teaching recently but leave this page to celebrate the achievement of the lovely people I had the privilege to work with. There are examples of work from watercolour and acrylic classes for beginners, improvers and for more experienced artists. All part of Bristol City Council's Adult Learning Service. I still run weekend courses once a month for experienced artists to come a
Don’t let Royal Mail slash delivery services Royal Mail want to reduce their deliveries from six days a week, to just THREE. And what’s worse, the regulator Ofcom might let them get away with it. SNCI sites and the Bristol Development Plan Bristol Tree Forum has presented compelling evidence both to the Mayor’s office and to Council officers that the local plan map is incorrect, yet the administration declines to correct it, even though it has the power to do so by a simple resolution of Full Council. The Mount Without exhibition is hung!
It's an amazing place, and once your eyes have become accustomed to the light, it works well.
I have considered buying caving torches for anyone who wants to explore them closely!
The exhibition gets its first 'outing' with the audience of two Secret Places candle lit concerts tonight.
Mount Without is open to the public on 16th June 5pm - 11.55pm. I plan to be there at 5pm-7pm. Please come along.
I'll be honest! It's worth coming to see this spectacular building. The art's an added bonus!
I am hosting two Meet the Artist events:
Tues 20th June 3pm - 6pm
Thursday 29th 11am - 2pm

Apparently I can't post photo's and videos at the same time. So here's a still to go with the video I just posted...
There were 15 of these joyous little beauties. Three have already gone, ahead of the trail. There are still 12 left. It's the art equivalent of pick&mix!
You'll probably have noticed, I usually work big. With these 8" canvases I painted all 15 together, as one, moved them around and carried on. Then worked on each individually.
It's great fun and throws up some wonderful surprises.
Come and choose your diptych triptych, or multiple 'tyches'. I know! That's not a word but I bet you understand me!
