Exciting workshop announcement! ✨🌸📱
After the very positive feedback following our April open days, we have been working with Lou from to bring you a bespoke ‘Instagram for Florists’ workshop.
Lou will be providing you with top tips on how to make the most of Instagram to market your business and will be filming our own doing a live floral demonstration, then showing you how to turn this footage into meaningful content.
You’ll then have the chance to film your own floral creation and turn this into a reel during the workshop with Lou guiding you along the way.
The first workshop will take place on 9th July at the cash & carry 6-9pm. We will provide all materials and light refreshments, so all you need to bring is a phone for filming!
Places are £45 each plus VAT and payment will be taken via your account prior to the workshop date.
We only have 12 places available, so if you’re keen to book a spot, please email [email protected] with your customer name and number.

Next week is British Flowers Week, and we’re collaborating with local growers to showcase their beautiful British Flowers in the cash & carry. Here is what we have lined up:
🌸 Monday 3rd June 🌸
The team from will be here working on a large British flower installation, which will stay up all week.
🌸 Tuesday 4th June 🌸
We invite you to pop into the cash & carry during our opening hours (5am– 11am) to look at the installation and meet some of our local growers, including our new Cornish foliage grower. And you know us here at Flowervision Bristol, we can’t let an event pass without the addition of something delicious, so we’ll be stocked up with British strawberries, scones, jam and clotted cream! 😋
🌸 Available all week 🌸
We’ll have a great selection of British flowers available to buy on our web shop throughout the week, plus a selection of British plants available to buy for next day.
The growers would love to meet you, so pop in for a chat, scone and a cuppa to celebrate all things British Flowers 💐
Meet Tracy and Lucy, our customer liaison team, and experienced in house florists 😀🌷👋
Tracy and Lucy spend time on the road calling in to see you, our customers, to help with anything you might need. Perhaps you need some help using our web shop, or maybe you’d like some guidance on pricing, or even advice on which rose variety would be best for an upcoming wedding? Most importantly, they are here to support you and listen to your feedback so we can continually improve our service.
Both Tracy and Lucy have a wealth of experience in the flower industry. Tracy started working at her local florist on a Saturday before enrolling on a floristry apprenticeship. She ran her own florist for 22 years, and during that time she also taught floristry (fun fact she taught Lucy at college!), did demonstrations and lots of freelance work, and has won numerous RHS Chelsea medals. Tracy then moved into a marketing and buying role for a large sundries wholesaler, before moving to Flowervision Bristol 6 years ago.
Lucy also started working at her local florist on a Saturday when she was 14 years old and has never looked back! She ran her own florist for 14 years, where she created wedding, event and funeral flowers, taught classes, and even won a Chelsea gold medal. Lucy was a long term customer of Flowervision Bristol, and joined our family in January 2024.
So if you would like Tracy or Lucy to pop in and see you, leave a message in the comments, or drop us an email to [email protected] and we can arrange a date and time that suits you.

🌿 It will be updated on a weekly basis, based on what is available
🌿 You can access the pre-order list in the same place as the flower pre-order list
Any questions, just drop us a message 😀
A throwback to this time last week at ’s second instalment of workshops showing the group how to create a foam free funeral range.
Tracy used a wide range of techniques and materials to create different mechanics including some of the following:
🤍 Biodegradable card trays planted directly with soil and planted up to create a living wreath
🤍 Baskets filled with moss to resemble foam, enabling stems to be pushed straight in
🤍 Willow branches & string used to create a sheath structure for a casket
Naturally these things won’t last as long as ‘traditional’ funeral arrangements, but one of the key takeaways from this session was not trying to directly replicate designs made in foam, and instead offering an alternative range.
So if you’ve been asked for foam free funeral flowers, why not give one of these techniques a go, or get in touch if you’d like Tracy to talk you through any of them in more detail.
A big thank you to the wonderful group that attended, you created some truly beautiful pieces 👏
PLEASE READ: Due to Brexit, changes to rules around importing flower and plant from the EU will start from Wednesday 1st May.
The following 5 flower groups and ALL plants will require physical inspection upon entry into the UK: Dianthus, Chrysanthemum, Gypsophilia, Solidago, and Orchid.
Flowervision Bristol has been given approval to become a ‘Control Point’ (CP), to enable us to carry out physical inspections ourselves and minimise disruption, however this was only granted 2 weeks ago, so we are still in the process of implementing the facilities required to do this.
It‘s possible that we may experience delays receiving our stock this week, which could have a knock on effect to your delivery times. We therefore strongly advise if you have any time sensitive orders for this week that you order your stock a day earlier than required to allow for any hold ups at customs.
We will keep you updated as much as possible, and as always will work as hard as we can to try to minimise any disruption to your business.
Best wishes,
Team FV Bristol x

Yesterday we shared that the grower we use for Anastasia green bloom chrysanthemum is stopping the production of this variety for now 💚
After 15 years of growing, the grower is taking a break as this is a notoriously hard variety to grow (even after 15 years of practice!) and maintain a high quality.
If you’re a fan of these blooms and sad to see them go, our buyers have advised that there is an alternative variety available - Alemani (swipe to see). We hope to be able to source this variety without any issues, but just a heads up that as there are now fewer green bloom chrysanthemums being grown, this might not be available 100% of the time.
🌻SAVE THE DATE!🌻
We are very excited to announce that we will be hosting our spring / summer open event on Wednesday 17th April 4pm-9pm & Thursday 18th April 8am-12pm.
We have SO many exciting things lined up that we can’t wait to share with you…more details to follow very soon 🤩
