What a find ! Found in an antiques shop yesterday. This a a diecast model ( over 2’ long) of the 1927 sunbeam (slug) land speed record holder.
The first car to go over 200mph.
This model was 1 of only 6 made in 1927/8 by Sunbeam . One for each showroom in@the country . Playworn but 100% original and still with the driver .
Probably the most amazing piece I have ever had . It will be on display at Detling Antiques Fair this weekend..

Along with these delightfully awful musical whiskey dispensers, one car ,one train,. will be taking them to Malvern Flea tomorrow .

Just found this wonderful c1970s kitsch ship bar with working lights in a local antiques centre . Absolute bargain . Love it

Delivered to my stall at Malvern today . 2 late 1950s Japanese tinplate space guns . MIT and working . the best I have ever come across

Whilst on a quiet moment at Newark I read this wonderful story in a 1941 newspaper .
