Thank you so much for your generous support - we've had a blast and look forward to more!

We are really proud to have supported Acta Community Theatre’s Making Time Two project for the past three years through our Peer Support Fund! 🎭

This amazing project brings isolated older people together for a hot meal and creative activities, boosting their physical and emotional well-being, increasing social connections, and engaging them with community services.

One participant shared: “I’ve lost so many friends over the last few years, and as you get older, there’s not always the chance to make new ones, it can feel as though you’re the last man standing… to come somewhere where we talk and have a laugh and what have you, it’s good. It’s good for us all.” 💬 💜

Sing Sing 09/09/2024

acta Recommends: Sing Sing, a film about Rehabilitation Through The Arts, a community theatre programme that runs in a prison in New York. The film is based on a true story, and details the creation of an original play, with many cast members having gone through the community theatre programme itself.

A few of our staff went to see it this weekend and we're still discussing it now!

The film is extremely moving and inspiring, and is showing at The Watershed this week - we really recommend catching it while it's still here.

Sing Sing Sing Sing is a stirring true story of resilience and humanity, starring an unforgettable ensemble cast of formerly incarcerated actors.

06/09/2024
