It’s actually quite crazy all this because I haven’t even announced this to press yet. To be completely honest, I’m not even sure I’m allowed to announce this at all but here we are.

We weren’t joking when I said we are coming for some of the biggest players in this industry.

Opening either December or January — haven’t really got a clue at this stage but all I know is that I’m now preparing myself for another 10 weeks of stress, sleepless nights and 18 hour shifts.

What a time to be alive.

I’m going to start posting pictures of sandwiches we don’t sell to see what you all think of them.

Depending on the reaction to each sandwich, we’ll either add them to our menu, discard them or sell the idea to Pret as I feel competition is lacking at the moment.

Collecting middle aged chefs like Pokémon.

Except Pokémon aren’t real and is very real. So real that he even asked me about my favourite sandwich to which I awkwardly replied a “BLT”

A BLT is not my favourite sandwich so I have no idea why I said it and to be perfectly honest I think it’s one of the worst sandwiches in existence. 3 ingredients to which none of them are very exciting.

Anyway — he was well nice and if I get the chance to meet him again I’ll tell him that it’s actually a chicken club.

🎣THE POSH FISH SANDWICH🎣

We’ve been so busy over here that it’s been a long time since we’ve talked sandwiches, and, as the weather finally starts getting that little bit warmer, I thought it’d only be right we break our silence by showing you all the Posh Fish Sandwich.

We named it this because it’s essentially our take on a McDonald’s Fillet O’ Fish — but it’s obviously 100 times better, entirely handmade and approximately 6 times the size, so I’m thinking we’re going to need a new name pretty soon.

In the brioche we’re talking:

🫛 Crushed Minty Peas
🐟 Battered Cod
🥔 Crusty Potato Rosti
🥒 Tartar Sauce

The sandwich is so popular that most of our menu items come and go, but I’m pretty sure this one will be around forever.

Oh, and anyone that can come up with a better name in the comments, will win a £50 voucher for our store, as well as a better sleep at night — from knowing your sandwich name suggestion gained approval from a sandwich connoisseur.

So we’ve recently discovered follows us on Instagram and he’s now found himself in an (un)fortunate position..

Dear Lewis,

Since you’ve not replied to my last message and I’m a very needy individual, I have a proposition for you.

I will come to wherever you are in the world with a sandwich in hand and feed you on a couch (or sofa if that’s a deal breaker).

In return, we will launch a Scottish inspired sandwich, called LewLew — your face will even be printed on the greaseproof.

Not only this, but we’ll get a photo of you eating the sandwich, and make it into a shrine at our flagship store.

Anyway, it’s a win/win situation for everyone involved, and if you don’t choose to work with us here, I’ll tell your mate you said he’s really s**t at singing.

PS: since meeting a few weeks ago, I’ve been informed by my PR agency that I am of A list celebrity status nowadays.

Last night we hung out with the man himself,

We chatted business, sandwiches, London AND he didn’t tell me to F*** off, so that speaks volumes.

As you can see I look well happy, but he looks happier, so that’s all that matters really isn’t it.

He’s invited me round for dinner next week with , and but unfortunately I’ve got an under 65s badminton tournament. Don’t worry though as I’ve organised Sunday lunch with Prue cause we’re best mates ❤️

We had such an amazing time and he’s genuinely such a lovely person. Can’t wait to hopefully work together on something related in the near future!x

When my dad first opened his small sandwich shop in Bristol 12 years ago, he could never have imagined that we would be bringing it to London. Frankly, I can’t believe this is happening, and I think this is what people would normally describe as a “pinch-me” moment.

I honestly can’t put into words how excited yet nervous we all are. Naturally, I find myself focusing on the risks involved in making this move, but the love and support we receive on a daily basis tells us this is the right decision to make.

We owe all of this to our customers and the team around us. Without you, Sandwich Sandwich would be nothing and I mean NOTHING. We wouldn’t be able to make great sandwiches, and you lot wouldn’t be able to stuff your face with them, so really it’s a win/win situation for all of us.

I’m going to sign this off by simply saying a big thank you for helping us all achieve our dreams.

NEW YORK ✈️ BRISTOL

We’re implementing one of the biggest changes to our menus we’ve ever done. 3 NEW types of bread, 8 NEW sandwiches, and 4 NEW savoury / sweet treats.

This particular sandwich has been months in the making. You won’t get a better pastrami sandwich outside of NEW YORK.

We’re also only weeks away from opening until 7pm for those of you who can’t get to us during working hours. Saturdays and Sundays also coming very, very soon! 👀🫣

We are completely overwhelmed with pride to have been named the nation wide Uber Eats Restaurant of the Year 2023. A sentence that we could never have dreamed of saying and to be totally honest - it still hasn’t quite sunk in yet.

This award serves as a significant testament to the dedication and effort that has been invested in all of our hard work. We owe it all to our team and our lovely customers who are exceptionally loyal.

We couldn’t be more proud to bring this award back to Bristol 🥹 The £100,000 investment will go towards our plans for expanding into more cities, and doing exactly what we do best - making exceptional food, for great people.

We always knew our sandwiches were a hit, but we didn't expect them to go international. I don’t know whether we’re flattered, angry or just really craving some delicious mushroom ham 😶 (Swipe to see their very peculiar menu)

These cheeky bastards once DMd us asking to use our branding for their shop in Iran after they had already built it. Still not as bad as the daily mail though as they at least had the decency to get in contact. I now tell every customer that we have shops in multiple countries.

On a side note: We love you and know that you love us. That being said please vote for us for the UBER EATS restaurant of the year award. We’re not ones to beg on socials but it would mean everything to us ❤️ and because £100,000 sounds like a nice time.

We are extremely disappointed to see our family business being used to promote another company. We put so much effort into building our brand (and sandwiches) it's frustrating to see our hard work being taken advantage of.

Our team work so fu***ng hard to make our business successful, and it's a disgrace that the would use our photos without any credit and pretending it’s from another sandwich shop. It's lazy journalism, and it's not fair to us or our customers. We take pride in what we do.

It's not just the fact that they used our photos without permission, it's that each photo takes our team hours to create and they haven’t even acknowledged us. We put so much time and effort into making sure our photos are unique and representative of our brand. It's soul-destroying to see all of that hard work go to waste. The Daily Mail has taken that from us and It's not fair.
