I’ve seen a lot of talk about adding white borders to images on Instagram lately. What are your thoughts, do you like it or not?

Kind of reminds me of old school Instagram.

Problem is I use Instagram in dark mode, so it can look a bit funky with the white borders I find. Let me know your thoughts

↟ I’m missing these magical mornings.

It seems like forever since we’ve been lucky enough to witness conditions like this. When the mist dances through the trees and the soft golden light paints across the scene. It’s an amazing thing to witness & it makes me realise how very lucky I’ve been to find and experience these incredible moments over the years.

This is a personal favourite photo of conditions like that, in fact I use one similar as my website homepage banner image.

This shot being one of my all time favourites, taken during a beautiful sunrise in Bristol. For one brief moment these two deer looked my way & made the photo 🙂

↟ Calm tropical sunsets, with the sound of waves lapping on the shore, helping my mind to wonder 🌴

↟ I love a dreamy misty morning. For me, you just can’t beat the atmosphere and magic that mist creates.

On this particular occasion I wanted to give my images more of a dreamy smooth look. Using the variable ND filter by I was able to get a longer exposure and soften the mist. Even getting some bonus light trails.

Thank you to for sending this filter out for me to test, I was really impressed.

↟ Ahhh wow, what can I say… It was one of those mornings.

Conditions that only come along once in a while. My favourite sort - incredible misty goodness. I chased the edge of the fog and watched as the blanket of mist draped over the city scenes turning everything into pure magic. An amazing early morning adventure.
