CANINE FIRST AID COURSE🐶🐾🩷

I did it!! Today I completed a face to face canine first aid course to assist me in providing the best care for my furry friends.
I learnt to do CPR on dogs, treat wounds, bandages, what to do in the case of a dog fight and much more.

Thank you to Enve Canine Services Ltd for organising the course and Kerry Stubbs from Pet Owners & Pet Professionals Animal First Aid Courses for delivering an amazing course, very informative and I’ve left with so much more knowledge.

Continuing professional development is so important to a small business like myself. I love learning new things to help me grow as a business.

Babysitting Services👩🏽‍🍼🩷

‘Poppins and Paws Care Service’ also offers babysitting services, these hours can be extremely flexible alongside other services I offer.
Daytimes (limited) and good availability in evenings.

I have worked with children since I was eighteen years old in many settings including mainstream schools, special educational needs schools and nursery settings.

Qualifications:
- Level Two in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
- Level Three Diploma for the Early Years Workforce.

I also have a good understanding of simple Makaton, simple British Sign Language (BSL) and experience with special educational needs.

If the child/children have pre-booked clubs/activities I am more than happy to continue taking them to these.

Half an hour meet and greet before babysitting to get to know yourself and your little ones before services begin.

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of walking these gorgeous rescue dogs the last few weeks.

They all have the best temperament, so affectionate and love a good run along the fields🌳

There will be one more to add to the team in the next few weeks once he’s recovered from his operation.

Thank you to their owner for rescuing them from Romania, giving them a forever home and trusting me to walk her group of furry babies🐶🐾🩷

🐾🐶ENRICHMENT TOYS🐶🐾

Enrichment toys help dogs in a variety of ways including their physical and mental health as well as overall quality of life.
It can also help with a variety of behavioural issues as well as the following:
• Prevent boredom - can help keep them entertained.
• Build confidence.
• Reduce stress and anxiety.
• Manage energy.
• Learn new skills - for example problem solving, searching and agility.
• Strengthen bonds between the dog and their owner.

There are many different types of enrichment toys/activities. For example food based enrichment such as food games, treat trails and puzzle feeders.

In this photo you can see this gorgeous boy absolutely loving his enrichment toy, this was a red kong toy filled with small treats, big treats, cut up hot dog and some cheese (all approved by owner).

We’ve been on many a walk together including getting lost in the fields one night, had many a bedtime cuddle on the sofa, watched some classic films from my childhood together and finally played many a game of fetch in the garden.

Our final day together involved a cheeky scrambled egg breakfast and a beautiful sunset walk🐶🐾

You’re two amazing pups with brilliant unique personalities and I adored that you both followed me by my feet wherever I went🐾

🍽️ KITCHEN CLEAN 🍽️

Absolutely over the moon with how this kitchen deep clean came out.
Really enjoyed helping out a hard working emergency service worker to give her kitchen a good deep clean.

Cleaned all cupboard doors, shined the kitchen sink, mopped floor, hoovered the floor and cushions, washing up all done and declutterred surfaces for a perfect finish.

Client is super happy with the finished result🧼✨

A little behind in posting but had the best time with these two fur babies a few weeks ago!

The two cheekiest characters - they give the best night time cuddles and enjoyed a game of fetch🐶🐾🩷

Have had the best time looking after these babies the last week, they’re all the cutest newest fluffy additions to the crew🐈‍⬛🐾

☀️SUMMER WEATHER☀️

Please keep an eye on your animals in this hot weather.

Poppins and Paws Care Service policies state that we will not walk any dogs if the weather is over nineteen (19) degrees.
We’re doing this as we have the dog’s best interest in mind and do not want any dogs to suffer during the hot weather, ensuring the safe wellbeing of the dogs.

As an alternative we can either reschedule the dog walk for earlier in the morning or later in the evening when the weather is cooler (if possible for both client and dog walker).
Or we will be offering a check in service where we will spend time with your dog inside their house, giving them no more than twenty minutes playtime outside in the garden. We will continue to stay for the whole hour.

I hope you understand and respect our decision.

I have had the best few days on a mini holiday exploring Cornwall with my boyfriend!

We’ve walked through waterfalls, explored many beaches, gone for a dip in the clear blue sea, caught a tan, eaten our body weight in food and stayed in the best accommodation with a hot tub included🌤️🌍

I already can’t wait to return to Cornwall in the future but also can’t wait to get back home and back to work, missed all the pups and my human clients too!🩷
