Unless you’re voting Tory or Reform then you can forget to do it 🗑️
Busy workbench day!
Can you spot some of the new products I’ve made?

Please tell me some of you are watching The Streets at Glasto right now.
Absolutely sending that flag and the security guy’s face as he goes in the crowd again was incredible 😭😂
Headed out to this morning for their summer market (it’s also on tomorrow!) and had a lovely breakfast . I picked up the lovely bumble bees from (Clare does great glass workshops and I was lucky enough to do one a few years ago, well worth a go!). I’ve also got my eye on a necklace from 👀
We also popped into which has just opened in Kings Heath and bought a few goodies. Si picked up the print and the cards. I couldn’t leave Muirhead tower behind - UoB alumni will understand, I still get sick thinking about being in that building 😂. It’s a really lovely shop and I’m sure we’ll be back!
Just need an ice cream in the sun now!
Next week there’s going to be a nice new update to my website, and I’ve got a few new products to add. So keep your eyes peeled on the 1st. I’ll send out a newsletter to let people know, and you may even get a little sneaky peek or surprise in there!
Biscuit stitch markers have been popular recently 🍪 (why is the emoji for biscuits a cookie?!?
I’m having a little destash over in my shop, with some really lovely skeins of yarn that I just don’t have the time to knit!
Postage is set to the same price as normal and if you spend over £20 it’s free in the UK!
I also have a very lovely ashford ball winder listed. It was a gift, but I sadly just don’t use it, so I’d love it to go to a new home where it will be used ♥️
Remember today is the last day to register to vote and you’ve got just under two hours to register if you haven’t already!

Giving this a little share here. Katie has started a new podcast and she's just popped it up on YouTube.
I've been pottering away making some stitch markers for the lovely The Woolhound and watched while I was working. I really enjoyed it (makes a very nice change from my usual murder podcasts!!).
Katie talks about her knitting and has some lovely pattern suggestions and also finished up with some book and podcast recommendations too!
There might be some stitch markers featured too 👀
Episode One - Let's start at the very beginning. Hello. Welcome to the first episode of the Kate-Em Vintage podcast. I'm a knitter and maker and this podcast is about all my recent and current knits and fut...
Lovely little skein stitch markers 😍
How’s everyone’s weekend been? Hopefully you managed to get a bit of crafting done!
1 - Loki decided to stomp on my popple bandana (I’m making it larger)
2 - my popple bandana minus the cat
3 a our garden is full of bees at the moment!
4 and 5 - the irises are still going strong with a black one flowering this afternoon.
Was quite well behaved on a trip to B&Q got an ice cream as a treat 😂 🍦
Might have to make some ice cream stitch markers again 🤔
Me watching the guilty verdicts coming…
Someone I follow on Twitter shared this adorable crochet book, Crochet Impkins and I really love it.
Shame I can’t crochet still 😂

Had a lovely order to post today including one of the lovely pilea stitch marker minders 😍
I know I’ve posted about it before here a while ago, but it’s worth another shot now I’m in a position of finding a new job.
I’m looking for a new full time job. I left my last job at the end of a contract, and after a little bit of a break I’m looking to move onto something new.
Are any of you working in life sciences, or recruitment that I might be a good fit for? I remember posting before and there were a fair few of you in the same sort of work environment. My experience is in life science, research, clinical work, and more. My last job was varied to say the least!! I’ve got a longer post over on LinkedIn, I’ll pop the link in the comments.
I’m not stopping Yarnistry, don’t worry! We just need income as a household, and unfortunately the jobs market seems to be quite tough for both of us at the moment. You never know where you might find good connections, so I thought it was worth an ask!
I finished off my shawl wip yesterday (it’s really lovely too!) but I’ve got a couple of skeins left of the yarn, think I need a matching hat!
Any DK hat recommendations?
Tidying up my project bags I found this lovely wip, Only Ocean using Martin’s Lab yarn. I managed to work out where I’d got to, and just finishing the last few rows now!
What have you been crafting this weekend? I’d love to see!
More podcast stuff...
