You don’t need to wait for Christmas to have a gnome on your desk! I like to think of these as the ‘Anytime Gnomes’ - cute little desktop friends perfect for any occasion

I bought these little Arabic shoes during the year we lived in Dubai and for the longest time they’ve been in bland frames on the wall. However I decided that they were in need of a ‘Buckie Edit’ so they might feel@more at home on the kitchen wall when we relocate to Scotland so here’s a bit of cultural fusion for your Friday - it also helps when hubby is a dab hand at teak frames!!

Stocking up with birthday bobbins - there’s something for everyone here. Each one comes in a gift box with a birthday candle and makes the perfect present. They can even be customised. In the meantime they are all tucked up ready for shipping to Scotland at the end of the year!

Birthday bobbins have upped their game! Now just all the rest of the heads to go with the bodies. These will come in a little gift box complete with a birthday candle which fits snug in the top of the head. Still near impossible to post anything out so these are definitely gearing up for being Scottish stock!

Day 24 (already?!) BOOKS/ ON THE BOOKSHELF - I wish I had more time to read but the sad fact is that the only books kicking around my place at the moment are these! Most of them@belong in my dolls house boxes and then there’s my Ideas Book where I’m constantly noting ‘recipes’ for new projects! Hopefully in the future I’ll have some time for some real books! Let me know some of your recommendations!

Day 23 - COMMUNITY- I’m really enjoying being part of this challenge and making so many lovely new connections. There definitely seems to be a sense of community with all the like minded people taking part 🥰. Closer to home in one sense, and in the community spirit, The Foggy Pear Craft Company is a regular sponsor of - this is a charity headed up by my youngest son Murray, who is autistic himself. He has such a passion for sailing and wants to ensure that anyone else on the autistic spectrum gets the opportunity to enjoy being on the water as much as he does. Definitely worth checking out their page on Facebook (where they are most active) as well as Instagram. The charity has a 707 yacht which they campaign on the racing circuit as well as a Colvic 34 for a more gentle cruising experience. I love the association with and really looking forward to being more ‘hands on’ when we are back in Scotland!

Day 22 Sharing the Love/ Supporting Small - I absolutely love supporting small businesses for gifts and sometimes supplies. and are businesses where I made fairly recent purchases and what really stood out was the really friendly attention each order received. Doesn’t that just make all the difference! Whenever I see posts from both of these businesses, I’m right into planning mode but will have to be patient and wait until we are back in the UK before I start ordering! seems to post every day and the little gnomes bring a smile to my face! I tried making a few myself but nowhere near as good!😜 And finally - an order will definitely be coming their way once we are back - a must have for any craft room and beautifully presented as well. Day 21 - PHOTOGRAPHY - I probably don’t spend as much time as I should trying to get the perfect shot, and there’s no fancy equipment other than my iPhone! I like workshop photos, they are easy and I quite like giving people a sneak peek of Foggy Pear HQ in action! Occasionally I will use FotoFuze if I’m listing something on Etsy or just want an uninterrupted shot but in general the whole photography side of things is something I’d like to work on.
