We’re looking for someone to take over Takeaway Taxi in Bury St Edmunds.

We’ve got a good brand name and simple systems to process the orders so all we need is someone to deliver for us. We work with both national chains and local independent restaurants to deliver their meals in Bury and the surrounding villages.

It’s an on-demand service so we want someone who lives in or close to town who can be available most evenings to deliver meals as and when orders are placed. You can get on with your rest of your life then pop out when an order comes in. We can never predict how hungry the residents of Bury will be on a particular night so some evenings you may only have one or two deliveries to make, other nights you may have five or six.

You can set your own hours opening hours breakfast lunch and dinner.

After a brief pause at the end of 2020 we’ve been back up and running in Bury St Edmunds since February 2021. We would like to say a big thank you to our loyal customers, our supplier restaurants in Bury St Edmunds and of course our drivers without whom we wouldn’t have a business.

We’ve been having a lot of success working with local restaurants. We love supporting local restauranteurs and unlike the bigger food delivery companies we don’t charge them outrageous commissions of 30% or more. When you order through us your local restaurants keep all the money you pay for the food so they can thrive and support your local economy, providing jobs for your friends and family. At the same time, we pay our drivers much more than the national companies, again keeping money in your town and giving your neighbours a decent standard of living.

We’re always on the lookout for new restaurants to join us. If you’re a restauranteur get in touch or if you’re a consumer and one of your favourite local restaurants isn’t on our website let us know and we’ll see if we can persuade them to join.
