Wyken Asparagus

Well folks, that's it! We stopped picking yesterday as the beds are running out of steam despite the weather finally getting good! As a result, we will NOT be at the wyken market as planned this week! Thank you to all our customers this year, it's been fantastic to catch up with you all again this year and here's to next season!

Absolutely stellar dishes from .restaurant this evening 😍😍 one of the best meals I've ever had! Super honoured that my humble asparagus makes the grade for such tasty food!

There's enough for a market 🥳 we will be tomorrow morning from 9 until we sell out! First come first serve, there's only 60 or so bunches!!

Its begun! Not the most amazing yield, one bunch off 2 acres 😂 but we will hopefully have enough for the market this Saturday if the weather stays fair! Keep your eyes peeled here!

Not ideal asparagus conditions! Hard to believe we started picking this week last year! Fingers crossed it warms up in the next few weeks.

The difference a few weeks makes! The asparagus is well into its fern stage now and looking great!

While we finished picking last week today is the last official day of the British asparagus season! I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who's helped me this this season. An especially huge thanks to Harry who has put in an enormous amount of time and effort both in the field and the packing shed! Thanks also to all my wonderful customers, I hope you all enjoyed this year's crop and I look forward to seeing you all again next year!!
