We want you to be aware of some changes that we are putting in place soon.

What's happening?

From when we started our business almost 24 years ago we have dispatched orders Monday to Friday. For many reasons, some of which we'll explain here, we feel this is no longer meets the needs of our customers and ourselves. *Therefore, from 1st April 2024, we will be dispatching customer orders on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday only.*

Why are we doing this?

Since we opened our brick and mortar shop in 2017, the number of fountain pen owners coming to us for servicing and repairs has increased massively and continues even though we no longer run a shop. Also, we have much more demand for custom nib work than ever before. Fitting these tasks around the daily dispatch of a large number of customer orders is a challenge and one that is ultimately detrimental to both.

We will focus on the supply of quality and durable new fountain pens and encourage the use of currently owned and cherished pens as a more sustainable approach to writing.

What else is changing?

Some of you may have noticed that certain product lines no longer feature on our website. This is because we made a conscious decision at the beginning of the year not to re-stock certain items as they sell out. It has not been an easy decision to let go of some of our favourites but we recognise that it is necessary in order to adapt to changing customer requirements. There will be some changes made to our website to reflect this.

A little Public Service Announcement: our last day for dispatching orders is Wednesday 22nd December. Please ensure you have any last-minute orders placed by 12.00 noon on that day (and pay for next-day delivery to be on the safe side).

A little Public Service Announcement: due to our need to isolate in the run-up to our family Christmas celebrations we do not have any more shop appointments available until the New Year. However, you will still be able to buy from our shop by ordering on-line using "click and collect" (as well as our standard delivery services) up until Friday 18th December.

A little Public Service Announcement: following the latest Government advice regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, our shop will be closed to visitors until further notice. On-line orders are unaffected but if this situation changes we will inform you as soon as possible. If you have pens with us for repair, we will contact you when these are ready so we can make arrangements for you to collect.
We are sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment but we have to consider everyone's safety during this challenging period.

Reluctantly we have decided to withdraw from the on Sunday, following Government advice on the Corona Virus outbreak. It was a difficult decision as we know many will be disappointed.

A little Public Service Announcement: from next week (3rd Feb 2020) our shop opening hours are changing slightly. Thursday will now be an appointment only day and on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday we will close at 4pm. As always, please phone first if you are travelling a long distance.
