Breakfast service is the most rigorous of the day - busy, fast-paced, and, of course, so very, very early 😴.

But these two are masters. Passionate about hospitality, with an infectious sense of humour and unrivalled work ethic, they have become incredibly popular with our guests.

A sceptical guest told us they'd "never tried a decent wine from Tenerife" last night. A quick sip of the stunning Negramoll was enough to change their mind (and enough to tempt them to order a bottle, too).

An incredible producer with interesting, delicious wines that are reviving the varietal heritage of the Canary Islands. Featuring on our Special Pours board.

passionate about a great house white as we are a Grand Cru Bordeaux".

If you've visited the bar or restaurant, you'll have seen how much love goes into our wine offering. It is important to us to offer an accessible and interesting list that we genuinely love and to serve it without pretence. Our ever-changing "Special Pours" and newly-introduced "Cellar List" add excitement, too.

It is lovely that our offering has been recognised by industry magazine , who asked our manager Tom a few questions about how it is put together, who our favourite producers are, and what's hot right now. Swipe for his answers, and a bit more information about what we do. (He even managed to squeeze his beloved Ipswich Town into an answer somehow 🙄).

A couple of tables have become available for tomorrow night's Underground Supper Club. With increased space this will already be the busiest we've ever hosted, but a couple of cancellations mean there is another chance to book.

The kitchen team love these nights, and it shows in the exciting small plate menus they produce each time. The dishes are designed to share, are priced between £7 and £12, and are DELICIOUS. Our famous cocktails fly out (mocktails for the mid-week drivers), and we spend a lot of time curating a fun playlist.

The Vaults have of course had a very cool refurb, and look better than ever.

A real treat is appearing on the Special Pours blackboard this Easter weekend.

"Zero Manipulation" is a stunning wine from the legendary Fred Peterson. Meeting Fred recently at a wonderful tasting was a real highlight - his energy, passion, and knowledge had us captivated.

The name is inspired by the Peterson philosophy of using the gentlest winemaking techniques possible to maximise flavours, aromas, and the original essence of the grapes. The resulting blend of Grenache, Carignan, and Syrah is super-smooth, with loads of dark fruit flavour and subtle oak. We love the wine, and we love Fred.

Come and get a glass before we drink it all ourselves 🍷🤪

It's been almost three years since we started holding our Underground Supper Clubs. Returning from lockdown (scotch egg, anyone?), we were determined to have some fun and create an awesome event for the foodies of Bury St. Edmunds. We put a post on Instagram to advertise and couldn't believe the response as it sold out in minutes!
